Primary Constellation #10

Ta'am (Gemini)...

For the month of October, I will showcase the tenth star family. The primary constellation of the tenth star-family is Ta'am, which is now called Gemini.

Ta’am (Gemini) is located in the northern hemisphere of the sky. Gemini means “the twins” in Latin. Ta’am is the 30th largest constellation in the sky. Ta’am has seven stars which are known to have planets. There are two meteor showers associated with the constellation; the Geminids and the Rho Geminids. The

Geminids are usually bright and peak around December 13-14.

Ta'am - image created by Shauna Manfredine in her book God's Amazing Star Secret. Image is copyrighted.

This star-picture came to be viewed as “the twins” because these two do look alike. But the resemblance isn’t because they are twins. The ancients depicted this constellation as a man and woman—a bride and groom.

This constellation is portraying Christ, our Heavenly Bridegroom, with His Bride, who are united at the Marriage Supper of the Lamb (Revelation 19:9). The Bride looks like the Groom because, by His Grace, she now fully reflects His lovely Character (Ezekiel 16:14).

Ta’am, the original Hebrew name for this constellation is found in the Bible in
Exodus 26:24. Here it is used to describe the perfect fitting of the Sanctuary boards, which were coupled together.
Exodus 26:24 “And they shall be coupled together (Ta’ambeneath, and they shall be coupled together above the head of it unto one ring: thus shall it be for them both; they shall be for the two corners.”
The items which the Couple hold are all
significant. The harp is a symbol of victory and praise. The Heavenly Bridegroom is not playing the harp, rather He is holding it, which shows that the victory has been gained through His Power and it is He Who is worthy to receive the praise. The Groom also holds a bow. This connects the Bridegroom with Qesheth

The Arrows shot from this Bow represent His Gospel Message which was “sharp in the heart of the King’s enemy” (Psalm 45:5). But the arrow is long gone, for the work of sharing the Gospel is finished.

Finally, the spear in the Bride’s hand portrays having passed through persecution. But the spear is at rest, for her time of suffering is forever finished. This is the time of joy!
Revelation 19:7-9 “Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to Him: for the Marriage of the Lamb is come, and His wife hath made herself ready... Blessed are they which are called unto the Marriage Supper of the Lamb...These are the true sayings of God.”

Equilux - Spring Tekufah: End of the Biblical Year

Of all the aspects of Yahweh's Clock, perhaps the most complex is the Tekufah - the End of the Biblical year. Historical changes to key astronomy terms, latitude variations, and other issues muddy the waters when one is trying to pinpoint the Tekufah. So, in today's blog, I will work step-by-step to clear those muddy waters, and to show what would originally have been so simple to see (and can be simple again) - the heavenly event of the Biblical Tekufah
Today is March 17 - the date of the Biblical Tekufah, which marks the end of the Biblical year 2018-2019...

In a modern Hebrew dictionary, the Spring "Tekufah" (Hebrew) is translated as "Vernal Equinox", which originally meant "equi-night". Today, astronomy admits that day and night are not actually equal in length on the Vernal Equinox. Thus, the Vernal Equinox is not the real Biblical Tekufah. In modern astronomy, the day on which day and night are both 12 hours is called the Equilux (meaning "equal light"). The Spring Equilux is the heavenly event (Genesis 1:14) which marks the end of the Biblical year.

What gets challenging about this is that the day of the Equilux (Tekufah) - on which day and night are both 12 hours - varies across the globe, depending on one's latitude. Additionally, seasons vary...  For example, when it is Spring in the Northern Hemisphere, it is Autumn in the Southern Hemisphere.

Should the folks in Australia and New Zealand start keeping the "Spring Feasts" in Sept-October, when Spring comes to the Southern Hemisphere? Should individuals mark the end of the Biblical year based upon their own day of the Equilux, which varies widely depending on where they live?

At this point, and with these questions, it is getting worrisome to try to align with the Creator's Clock...  In fact, the idea of earthly people being able to realign with Yahweh's Time has never seemed more impossible. But it is possible to realign with Yahweh's Heavenly Clock. To do this, however, we have to re-align ourselves with the global location where Eden once stood - and where the Creator's Clock/Calendar was originally given.

Confirmation that Heaven's Clock is still calibrated to this location is demonstrated by the fact that our Saviour really died on Passover - not when it was Spring in the Southern Hemisphere...  but by calculating the time from the point of origin...  And there is much more evidence to consider...

In our January-March, 2018 magazine, our feature article was on the Tekufah. Thus, rather than re-inventing the wheel, so-to-speak, I will provide a link here to that article which is titled "The Creator's Original Calendar".

Please note, in retrospect, our explanation of the March 17 date by showing that this is the day when day and night are equal in length in Roseburg, Oregon is a bit unclear...  What we forgot to mention in the magazine is that Equilux (the day on which days and nights are equal in length) in our part of Oregon is the same date as the area where Eden once stood...

Our part of the map happens to be at the same latitude...  So, when you see the chart for Roseburg, Oregon in the magazine article, you will know why we used it to demonstrate the Tekufah / Equilux timing. It is important to align with the Tekufah at the location where Yahweh instigated the calendar...  This concept is explained more clearly in the above magazine.

The following is a link to the US Naval Observatory sunrise/sunset times for 2019 in Jerusalem...  On the chart, you will notice that March 16 is listed as the day when sunrise is at 6:28 AM and sunset is at 18:28 PM (6:28 PM), making March 16 the day of the Equilux in Jerusalem...

So, why are we suggesting that March 17 date is the Biblical Tekufah, and not March 16? Eden was not located exactly in Jerusalem...  The river placement of the Hiddekel and Tigris rivers suggests that it would have been nearby, but closer to the region of ancient Babylon...  Thus, at the latitude where the Creator's Calendar was first given - the day of the Equilux (12 hours of daylight and 12 hours of night time) is actually on March 17...  This is the Biblical Tekufah.

It is interesting to notice that the Biblical end of the year is actually a period of several days. Of course, it marked by a single day (the Tekufah), which begins it. But the end of the Biblical year also includes the days which fall between the Tekufah and the next new moon.

Since today is the original Tekufah, marking the end of the Biblical year (for more information, see my February 10 and February 11 blogs), to know when the next Biblical year actually begins, we need to watch for the next new moon.

As a heads-up, the next new moon sliver will be sightable on the evening of April 6 (at sunset), making April 7 the day of the first new moon of the Biblical year 2019-2020...  This will also be the date from which to count the days (to the 14th day) to determine the Biblical timing of Passover.

Big Bang Baloney

Evidence of Creation...
Between 1921 and 1926, our understanding of the universe changed. Hubble used a powerful telescope to look at the universe. Until then, we had thought the Milky Way was the only galaxy.
But, Hubble saw something amazing...
The Milky Way galaxy, encompassing about 100 billion stars was only one of many galaxies in the visible universe.

The sheer quantity of galaxies we could see was incredible.  Could each contain about 100 billion stars (suns) like the Milky Way? Scientists believed that they probably did. At first, seeing so many galaxies out there convinced evolutionary scientists that our Earth must be a common planet. Robert Jastrow voiced this viewpoint when he said:

"The universe is populated by innumerable Earths and perhaps, innumerable forms of life."

Evolution teaches that all the elements needed for life on our planet came into being by chance – by some stellar lottery. If Earth is common, and similar planets can be found throughout space, the idea that we evolved is easier to swallow. In fact, in order to prove that Earth evolved, evolutionists need the Earth to be common - not unique in the whole of the universe. But is this so?

Are carbon-based life-form planets rare or common in the universe? After all, the universe is a huge place... To answer this question, we must first identify the necessary factors that are required in order for a planet be habitable for carbon-based life-forms.

Extensive research has been done by NASA and other scientists to determine what it takes to have complex life on a planet.

They have come up with a list of about 20 critical factors. We don’t have time to address them all, but we will look at 10 compelling factors required to support our fragile life on Earth.

FACTOR #1: Liquid Water

In order for a planet to sustain life, it must have liquid water. This is the first factor scientists list as needed on our planet for us to survive.  Why is water so essential?

Water can dissolve and transport the chemical nutrients needed in carbon-based life-forms. In addition, water absorbs heat from the sun which is critical to regulating the surface of the Earth’s temperature.

Interestingly enough, our Earth has exactly the right amount of water to keep our planet healthy. If we had too many continents and not enough sea, our climate would be thrown off balance enough to make our planet an unhappy place, maybe even an unlivable place.

FACTOR #2: The Goldilocks Zone

A planet's distance from the sun is critical. There is an orbital region around the sun that NASA scientists call the "Goldilocks Zone". This is the narrow orbital band where it is not too hot and not too cold. In fact, only in this narrow band are the temperatures are just right to have liquid water on the planet.

If a planet has water, but is too far from the sun, the water freezes. If the planet is too close to the sun, the water boils and evaporates away. So the habitable Goldilocks Zone is relatively narrow.

Remarkably, to those who wish to believe our Earth evolved by chance, we are positioned perfectly in the habitable zone of our solar system.

As the above picture shows, the location of a solar system’s habitable zone changes depending on how large or small its sun happens to be.

If the Earth were just 5% closer to our sun than it is, our planet would be a lot like Venus. A runaway greenhouse effect would take place. Temperatures would reach about 900 degrees Fahrenheit.

What if the Earth were 20% farther from the sun than it is? If it were 20% farther away from the sun, carbon dioxide clouds would form in Earth's upper atmosphere. This would create on Earth the same sterile environment as we find on Mars. Mars has ice (non-liquid water), but water itself is not enough for a planet to be hospitable to Earth's complexity of life.

As it turns out, Earth is in just the right place in our solar system...

FACTOR #3: A Terrestrial Planet

In order to be habitable to Earth's life-forms, our planet also needs to be "terrestrial" (a rocky planet). Comparatively, Earth has a paper-thin crust. If the crust of Earth were significantly thicker, plate tectonics (a process which recycles the Earth’s crust) could not happen.

Our Earth's crust is broken into more than a dozen tectonic plates. Like a great moving conveyor belt, this tectonic action is continually recycling the Earth’s materials. Because of this action, the chemicals and minerals needed to support carbon-based life are continually being provided. In other words, if it wasn’t for the fact that our planet has plate tectonics continually renewing vital minerals and chemicals, we would eventually run out of the things needed to support life on this planet. Thus, plate tectonics is a vital part of keeping us all alive.

FACTOR #4: Magnetic Fields

Deep within our planet's interior, the movement of liquid iron (in the magma) generates magnetic fields around the Earth. This protective magnetic field is essential to complex life as we have it on Earth. Without it, we would quickly become as barren of life as Mars.

This is because of the sun’s powerful solar wind. Our magnetic field protects us from the harmful effects of the sun’s solar wind. These solar winds harmlessly sweep past our planet, because of the protective shield created by our Earth’s magnetic fields.

FACTOR #5: Earth's Mass

Have you ever wondered what would happen to life on Earth if our planet's mass were smaller? Probably not! We are so blessed to have all the factors required for habitable life that we don't even think about them. But, if Earth's mass were smaller our magnetic field would be weaker, allowing the sun to strip away our Earth's atmosphere. Just this factor alone would be enough to make Earth as barren as Mars.

FACTOR #6: Our Oxygen/Nitrogen Atmosphere

From space, Earth's atmosphere seems to glow like a thin, blue ribbon of light. It is actually less than 1% of the planet’s diameter.

Our atmosphere is made up of 78% nitrogen, 21% oxygen, and 1% carbon dioxide. This is the perfect mix to provide us with a temperate climate, protection from the sun’s radiation, and it is the correct combination of gases necessary for liquid water and complex carbon-based life. Once again, our Earth has exactly what it needs to support the life here. Our atmosphere is absolutely perfect for our needs.

FACTOR #7: A Large Moon

Compared with the other planets which we can observe in space, our Earth (for it’s size) has a large moon. Because of it’s size, the moon generates a powerful gravitational pull on the Earth, which stabilizes the Earth’s rotation on its axis. Our moon is one quarter of the size of the Earth. Because of the moon’s size, it keeps the Earth tilted at a constant 23.5° angle. This gives us relatively mild seasonal changes. It is one main reason, why Earth is the only planet in our solar system with mild enough climates to sustain life.

FACTOR #8: The Type of Star We Orbit

We orbit a sun called a "spectral type G2 dwarf star". And this is the perfect kind of star for our sun to be - to suit our needs.

The ‘G2’ classification of our Sun indicates it has a surface temperature of approximately 10,000° Fahrenheit (5,500° Calvin), about the middle of the temperature scale for stars, giving it a white color. Yet, this happens to be the perfect temperature for Earth’s sun to be.

Big as it is, our sun is actually small for a star. Betelgeuse (located in the shoulder of Orion) is an M2Ib red supergiant and physically one of the largest stars known. If Betelgeuse took the place of our Sun its outer surface would extend between the orbit of Mars and Jupiter.

Antares (Alpha Scorpii) is also a red supergiant and extremely large – about 700 times the diameter of our Sun and one of the brightest stars in the heavens. Yet, none of these star sizes would work for Earth. Isn’t it amazing that our sun happens to be exactly the right size to suit our needs?

Not only are the size of our sun and our distance from it vital factors to life on Earth, but also our orbiting path around the sun is critical. Scientists have found that most orbiting bodies in space orbit in an elliptical path. Notably, our Earth does not orbit in the usual elliptical path. The distance between the earth and the sun varies less than 0.33% ! Earth's orbit is almost circular. Why is that important ? It minimizes temperature change as the earth revolves around the sun.

Not only does earth have a circular orbit, but many of the planets in our solar system also have circular orbits. The orbit of Venus is CIRCULAR - this is very important because Venus' size is like earth's and an eccentric orbit (or elliptical shaped orbit) would destabilize EARTH's orbit! The orbit of all the Giant Planets are circular - again, this is very important because their gravitational forces are huge and an eccentric orbit would destabilize Earth's orbit. What's the chance of so many planets having near-circular orbits in our solar system by accident?

Consider also, the size of our sun and our position near it. If the sun were less massive, like 90% of the stars in our galaxy, the habitable zone would be smaller. To remain within its boundaries, the Earth would have to be positioned closer to its star.

Our sun is exactly the right size to have a perfect habitable zone.If our sun were smaller than it is, the habitable zone that our planet would have to orbit in would be much closer to the sun. If this were so, the increased gravity from our closeness to the sun, would lock our Earth’s rotation, keeping us from turning as we orbit around the sun.  Naturally, this would mean that one side of our planet would always be in daytime and the other side of the planet would always be in night time.

This would limit plant life to one side of Earth.  In fact, animal life would be limited to one side of Earth as well. But, this isn’t the most serious problem. No longer rotating, one side of the Earth would continually face the sun giving it increased radiation from solar flares. The other side would be dark, in a state of continual cold and ice. Complex life could not long tolerate these drastic extremes.

And so, amazingly we find that our sun just happens to be exactly the right size to give earth a perfect habitable zone.

FACTOR #9: Our Location in Our Galaxy

Scientists have now discovered that not only is our planet in the exact right location in our solar system, orbiting an absolutely perfectly sized sun at exactly the perfect distance, but also, we are in the exact right location in the Milky Way galaxy. If we were closer to the middle of the galaxy, Earth would be in a very dangerous place. Black holes are common, stars go super nova with too great a frequency.  Our fragile life forms would not likely survive long if our planet were positioned nearer the center of the galaxy.

Not only are we placed in the safest spot for us to be, we are also placed between the spirals, not within a spiral. This means that we get a clear view of the night sky, enabling us to see the constellations and learn. Thus, we find that we are not only placed in the safest place, but also in a place where we will get the best view of the heavens enabling us to learn and scientifically grow.

FACTOR #10: Giant Planet "Guardians"

Another factor needed to support Earth's life is the presence of several gas giant planets in a protective ring orbiting about us. These gas giants protect us from most comet impacts and from large space debris.

The picture above is taken with infrared showing many comets hitting Jupiter at once. The Giant Planet Jupiter (and in a lesser amount, Saturn and Neptune) is shielding Earth from many asteroids/comets by drawing this space debris to itself and away from hitting Earth. Jupiter is in fact "taking the hits" for Earth.

Evidence of this is the Collision of the comet Shoemaker-Levi 9 with Jupiter in July 1994. The picture at the right shows the impacts on Jupiter from this comet. From images like these, scientists have come to understand that were it not for the presence of the gas giant planets orbiting around us like guardian angels, the fragile life on our planet would have likely been destroyed long ago.

We've only looked at 10 factors necessary for the like of life such as we find on Earth. But when scientists began to compile a list of all the factors needed to support the fragile carbon-based life forms we have on Earth, it was a list of twenty factors!

When scientists saw this huge list and realized that our little planet just happens to have all these critical factors, some began asking themselves what the odds were that these life-supporting factors all came to be here by chance.

To determine the probability that all these factors could be present on Earth by mere chance (an evolutionary accident), scientists came up with a complex equation...

N x fsg x fgnz x fcr x fsp x fcnz x np x fj x fc x fo x fm x fcp x fmn x fw x ft x fl x fi x fr x flc x flt...

Then, they assigned a conservative 1 in 10 value to each factor deemed necessary for Earth's life, creating the following math equation:

1011 x 1/10 x 1/10 x 1/10 x 1/10 x 1/10 x 1/10 x 1/10 x 1/10 x 1/10 x 1/10 x 1/10 x 1/10 x 1/10 x 1/10 x 1/10 x 1/10 x 1/10 x 1/10 x 1/10

This comes out to one thousandth of one millionth that all these factors are present on Earth by chance evolution!

By comparison, the odds of winning the lottery are 18 million to 1...  At the lowest estimate, there is a one in a trillion chance that the earth would get all 20 factors needed to support our life. If the same odds of winning were applied to the lottery, no one would ever win. And yet, the supposed scientific theory of evolution states that Earth has done just that.

Many believe that by random chance we possess all 20 vital factors which allow for carbon-based life to exist here. What does all this mean? For one thing, the idea that there are numerous planets just like Earth throughout the Milky Way galaxy is totally blown out of the water. Scientists admit that there are not likely to be any other planet here like ours for there just aren’t enough stars in the galaxy to handle those odds!  This can only mean one thing – the earth is a special place – unique. And that it was put here by design, rather than by accident.

Two, former evolutionist scientists, considering all this, were converted to believing in the Creator. They wrote about it all in their book, The Privileged Planet (shown below).

What a wonderful God we have! And seeing all His tender watch-care over us, planning for our every need, far beyond out own awareness, gives us a huge reason to trust Him.
Isaiah 26:3  "Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee. Trust ye in Yahweh for ever: for in the Yahweh JEHOVAH is everlasting strength."

Sky Event #9

13th New Moon Sighting (Eve)

As I explained in my January 7, 2019 blog in Bible times (and the old ways are the right ways - Jeremiah 6:16) the new moon was determined by the sighting of the first visible crescent, after the dark phase of the moon was over. By this original manner of reckoning, tonight is the sighting of the 13th Biblical new moon. (For more information about Biblical new moons, see also the blog from February 5, 2019).

How can there be a thirteenth new moon - a thirteenth month - when a year is supposed to be made up of only 12 months?

Many Bible scholars believe the solar and lunar years were once in perfect alignment. Prior to the Flood it is thought that there were 12 months in a years with each month being 30 day, making a year have 360 days, aligning with the 360 degrees of a perfect circle.

Since the Flood, the differences between the amount of time it takes for the moon to rotate around the earth and the length of time time it takes for the earth to complete a cycle around the sun have long created challenges for calendar makers. The moon determines the lunar year (and the Biblical month) and the sun determines the solar year. But because lunar years and solar years don't perfectly align, months and years don't perfectly align.

The (solarcalendar year has 365 days (366 days in leap years). A lunar year has 12 lunar months which alternate between 30 and 29 days (in leap years, one of the lunar months has a day added). ... The lunar calendar is a measure of the moon's rotation around the earth. A year on the lunar calendar has 354 days.

Since the heavenly bodies of the sun and moon are used to determine time on earth, and since they are not in perfect alignment (although they probably were perfectly aligned at Creation), there need to be some adjustments made to keep a calendar on track with the seasons.

The Gregorian calendar makes those adjustments by varying the number of days in a given month from 28 to 31 days. It also adds in a leap year (making the month of February have 29 days instead of the usual 28) every 4 years. In so doing, March continues to fall in the Spring, as it should, instead of slipping farther and farther into winter, as it would if these adjustments weren't made.

In Bible times, a month was always 30 days. This closely aligns with the moon, for the length of time from one new moon to the next is 29.5+ days. We can see that a Biblical month was always 30 days in a number of Bible passages. But one evidence is Revelation 11:2-3, which says that the the holy city would be trampled for "42 months", which it also states is a period of "a thousand two hundred and three score days" (1260 days).
42 (months) x 30 (days in a month) = 1260 (days)
But now, in our post-Flood world, the solar and lunar year are no longer 360 days long. The lunar year of 354 days lags behind the solar year of 365 days. Thus, without an adjustment, the alignment of months with their correct seasons would be lost. This is why the Biblical calendar, which always starts with the new moon sighting, will sometimes have a thirteenth month.

Adding in a thirteenth month is actually less complicated than it may seem at first. You don't have to worry about trying to figure out which years will have a 13th month in them. Some years will simply come out to have a 13th new moon from the Spring Tekufah of one year to the spring Tekufah of the next. As I explained in my February 11, 2019 blog, the Biblical year ends with the Spring Tekufah, which falls on March 17 on a modern calendar. The Biblical year begins with the first new moon sighting following the Spring Tekufah

Our current Biblical year began on March 19, 2018, as the following calendar shows:

March 18 was the new moon eve (the night when the first sliver of the new moon was first visible), making the next day - March 19 - the first new moon day following the Spring Tekufah (which fell on March 17). From this starting point, let us count the months, to see that this year there is a thirteenth month. The following 2019 Biblical calendar must also be used:

To count the months, remember, Biblical years begin in the spring so, they do not perfectly align with modern calendar years. Also, on the 2018 calendar, new moon days are dark green, but on the 2019 Biblical Calendar, the new moon days are purple. The only exception is the 7th New Moon. On both calendars annual Sabbaths (Feasts of Leviticus 23) are shown in orange. The 7th New Moon is an annual Sabbath, being the Feast of Trumpets. As a result the 7th New Moon is shown in orange on both calendars. The following are the new moon dates for the 2018-2019 Biblical year:

Spring Tekufah (End of prior Biblical Year: 2017-2018) - March 17, 2018

New Moon #1: March 19, 2018
New Moon #2: April 17, 2018
New Moon #3: May 17, 2018
New Moon #4: June 15, 2018
New Moon #5: July 14, 2018
New Moon #6: August 13, 2018
New Moon #7: Sept 11, 2018 (Feast of Trumpets)
New Moon #8: October 10, 2018
New Moon #9: November 9, 2018
New Moon #10: December 9, 2018
New Moon #11: January 8, 2019
New Moon #12: February 6, 2019
New Moon #13: March 8, 2019

Spring Tekufah (End of current Biblical Year: 2018-2019) - March 17, 2019

Again, you don't have to sweat and worry about whether a given year will have a 13th month or not. They just happen, periodically. If the year will have a 13th month, it will just show up naturally between the two Spring Tekufahs, as happens this Biblical year.

Considering that this Biblical year has a 13th month, one may wonder whether there is an example of a 13th month occurring in Biblical times. The answer is yes. Consider the case of Ezekiel, during his 430 days of lying on his side, by divine command. In this account, found in Ezekiel chapters 1-8, we find Scriptural proof of a thirteenth month.

To show this, we must first note that this passage gives several specific dates. To begin, Yahweh told Ezekiel to act out a warning parable, portraying Jerusalem's coming judgment for their rebellion against Yahweh. Let's begin by tracking the given dates in his amazing story:

1) Ezekiel received a vision on the fifth day of the fourth month (Ezekiel 1:1-2). This happens in the fifth year of King Jehoichin's captivity.

2) In that same year, Ezekiel has another vision on the 11th day of the fourth month.

3) Then in Ezekiel 4:1-11, Yahweh tells Ezekiel to lay on left side for 390 days after which he is instructed to lay on his right side for another 40 days. 390+40=430 days all total.

4) Following this, in Ezekiel 8:1, we find the next specific date given. It says, "And it came to pass in the sixth year (of king Jehoichin's captivity), in the sixth month, in the fifth day of the month, as I sat in mine house..."

Note that during these verses Ezekiel has had time to lie on his side for 430 days, and then, a year and two months later (having fully finished his 430 days) he is sitting in his house. A full 430 days can only be accomplished in the Biblical calendar in a year when a thirteenth month (13th new moon) occurs. If Ezekiel was accomplished in a solar year of 365 days, there would not have been enough time for him to finish lying on his side for 430 days and be back sitting in his home by the sixth month of the following year.

Consider the following chart:

As we have seen above, this Biblical year (which started in the Spring of 2018) has 13 months. And tonight, at sunset, is the sighting of the 13th new moon of the year. This means that tomorrow, March 8, is the 13th New Moon day of this current Biblical year. It also means that the next New Moon will be the first New Moon of the next Biblical year - from which we count to Passover (the 14th day). Shalom and happy last month of the year!
