Biblical Astronomy 2 - Class Cancellation Notice - Meeting Again November 30

For those who were in my Monday (November 9) Zoom classes, which we attempted and re-launched three times, there were some unanticipated Internet problems at my current broadcast location. As you know, I am up in Manitoba, Canada, at our son's home.

As I discovered in this first Zoom class of the day, the Internet at our son's home is not the high speed/broadcast-level that we have at our home. Of course, I had thought that I could still do the Zoom classes from here, since our son and his family use their household Internet all the time. But, as it turns out, the broadcast-level required for hosting a Zoom class is not available here...

As a result, the Internet available here isn't sufficient for the job. In my Zoom class today, the sound was digitizing and distorting, the video couldn't be turned on, many times I couldn't hear the people in the class at all, and the class kept dumping people out...  ugh! So sorry for the inconvenience.

I tried everything we could do to troubleshoot the situation...  I moved my laptop to be right next to the wifi Internet hub in our son's living room, but we were still having problems, even after turning off the video feed and doing all that I could to lessen the needed bandwidth for the broadcast...

Clearly, it isn't working to broadcast Zoom classes from our current location. After the rough attempts to have a Zoom session this morning, I am making a necessary change to our class schedule.

We will not be having online (Zoom) classes during my time here in Canada. To make up for this unscheduled break - so that we won't end up having less classes in the overall class count for the year - I am moving our already scheduled Winter Break to now.

Our original class schedule had Winter Break from December 19 to January 2.  But to make up for this unscheduled break, I will be having classes in December and taking the two-week break right now. This way, we'll still get all our classes in by the end of the year, as planned, but we'll not have to right with the insufficient Internet issues we are having.

Thank you guys for working with me on this! Sometimes, one just has to adjust when circumstances don't quite go as planned.

With this in mind, our next Biblical Astronomy Class will meet LIVE on Zoom on Wednesday, November 30. Until then, feel free to watch/re-watch the past class video recordings. And let me know if you have any questions.
