The Eleventh Star Family - Part 1

Navah's Decans - Tseon Gadol (Ursa Major) and Tseon Qatan (Ursa Minor)

The first two decans of Navah (the sheepfold which is wrongly now believed to be a crab) are Tseon Qatan (Tseon is sheep in Hebrew, a word which is related to "Zion", so the connection with God's saved people is clear in the constellation name) and Tseon Gadol.

Tseon Qatan (Ursa Minor) is easy to recognize because it contains the famous Little Dipper asterism. Tseon Qatan is also notable for marking the location of the north celestial pole, as it is home to Polaris, the North Star, which is located at the end of the dipper’s handle. The constellation Tseon Gadol (Ursa Major) contains the group of stars commonly called the Big Dipper.

The two "bears", Ursa Major and Ursa Minor are among the most well-known and easily recognized of all the constellations. It is
almost shocking to learn, after growing up with knowing the sky-bears so well, that they aren’t really bears at all—but they are sheep instead! In the ancient depictions of these two constellations, such as the zodiacs found in Egypt, Caldea, Persia and India there are no bears at all.

Copyrighted image from God's Amazing Star Secret book by Shauna Manfredine
The cause of the confusion is likely a
translation error. the Hebrew word for a “sheepfold” is Dohver, while bear is Dohv. Also, the Arabic word for “cattle” is Dubheh, which is similar to the Greek word for “bear”. But however it happened, these constellations have been misrepresented in portraying them as bears.

Ancient planespheres aren’t the only proof. Bears do not have long tails as the animals in these constellations do, but sheep do have long tails (although their tails are now usually docked, when they are small lambs).

Additionally, the primary constellation always relates to its decans. But a “crab” doesn’t relate to “bears” at all. However, when we restore the ancient depictions of these constellations, rightly portraying Naveh as a sheep or cattle fold, it certainly does relate to sheep!

These two sheep represent the saved people of God. We know this because sheep, in
Scripture, symbolize God’s people (John 10:16-27). There are two sheep—a larger one (Tseon Gadol)  and a smaller (Tseon Qatan)—to symbolize the two groups who are saved at the Second Coming. The two groups are: those who are resurrected from the dead and those who are translated without seeing death, having been alive to see Christ’s Return.
“For Elohim Himself shall descend from Heaven with a shout, with the Voice of the archangel, and with the Trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet Yahweh in the air: and so shall we ever be with Yahweh.”  1 Thess. 4:16-17 (KJV)
Tseon Gadol (wrongly known as Ursa
Major)—the larger of the two sheep—
represents the resurrected saints, from Adam down to our time. Because there will be more saved people from this group, the larger of the two sheep represents it.
“As a shepherd seeketh out his flock in the day that he is among his sheep that are scattered; so will I seek out My sheep (Tseon) and will deliver them out of all places where they have been scattered in the cloudy and dark day.” Ezekiel 34:12
“I will surely assemble, O Jacob, all of thee; I will surely gather the remnant of Israel; I will put them together as the sheep (Tseon) of Bozrah, as the flock in the midst of their fold: they shall make great noise by reason of the multitude of men.” Micah 2:12
Tseon Qatan (Ursa Minor) the smaller of the two sheep represents the translated saints, or those who are alive on the earth at the time of Christ’s Return. The Promise in these two constellations is this:
“Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give You the Kingdom.” Luke 12:32 (KJV)

Primary Constellation #11

Naveh (Cancer)...

Thank you for your patience with me in my necessary (due to moving) blogging silence! I am able to blog again, at least some of the time. This is because I can use my cellphone as a hotspot to get online long enough to do a blog post or two. This means I probably won't be blogging every day, but I will do my best. Also, I want to try to catch up a bit with some of the constellation information which I missed during my absence in November...

So, for the month of November, I will showcase the eleventh star family. The primary constellation of the eleventh star-family is Naveh, which is now called Cancer.

Naveh (Cancer) is the dimmest of the primary constellations. Naveh’s most famous Messier object is M44, also known as the Beehive Cluster, or by its ancient name of Praesepe. M44

contains about 50 stars and its original name (Praesepe) means “innumerable seed”. Praesepe’s area of 1.5 square degrees is 3x larger than the full moon.

Today, this constellation is portrayed as a crab. But this is an incorrect representation of this sky-picture, according to the ancient records. Naveh, is a sheepfold, or a cattle enclosure. As
E.W. Bullinger noted in his book, The Witness of the Stars, the ancient names for this constellation indicate a sheep or cattle fold:
The Denderah name (for Naveh) is Klaria, or “the cattle-folds”... The Arabic name is Al Sartan, which means “who holds”...The Syriac, Sartano, means the same. The Greek name is Karkinos, which means “holding or encircling”, as does the Latin, Cancer... In the word Khan, we have the “traveller’s rest”... while Ker or Cer is the Arabic for “encircling”. (Witness of the Stars, p 148)
The fact that Naveh was anciently known to be a sheep or cattle fold is also verified in the star names, as is shown in the following illustration, from my God's Amazing Star Secret book, page 161:

"And Sharon shall be a fold (Naveh) of flocks, and the valley of Achor a place for the herds to lie down in, for My people that have sought Me.” Isaiah 65:10 (KJV)
“And thou shalt know that thy tabernacle shall be in peace; and thou shalt visit thy habitation (Naveh), and shalt not sin.” Job 5:24 (KJV)
“I will feed them in a good pasture, and upon the high mountains of Israel shall their fold (Naveh) be: there shall they lie in a good fold, and in a fat pasture shall they feed upon the mountains of Israel. I will feed My flock, and I will cause them to lie down, saith the Yahweh God.” Ezekiel 34:14-15 (KJV)
The constellation of Naveh is connected with the tribe of Issachar (see God's Amazing Star Secret pages 187-188). In Jacob’s prophetic blessing, Issachar was likened to a donkey at rest in a pleasant and beautiful fold.
“Issachar is a strong ass couching down... And he saw that rest was good, and the land that it was pleasant...” Genesis 49:14-15 (KJV)
The sheepfold is a symbol of safety and rest. This is the message of this sky-picture. God’s people (the sheep) are portrayed here as dwelling in safety, having entered their Promised Rest.

Brief Pause - Thanks for your Patience!

Taking Temporary Retreat and Extended Break...

Dear blog readers,
It is with regret that I am announcing that I need to temporarily put this blog on pause...

During this pause, all of my past blog postings will all still be readable, of course. But I will not be putting up new blog postings... for about a month...

First, I have to apologize to you all...  Starting this past June, you have probably noted that my postings on this blog were becoming increasingly erratic... I really did try to keep up. But blogging is normally something that I do between normal life, full-time ministry, teaching part-time online classes, and other day-to-day work. In other words, I usually fit blogging in, in the "cracks" of my life. But there haven't been very many "cracks" of late.

Starting this past June, my parents' decided that the last winter was too much for them to face another winter in their 13 acre home. They felt the need to put their home up for sale and downsize tremendously in order to move into a retirement center apartment (independent living). My husband and I immediately went to work fixing up the gardens, rebuilding and staining the deck and doing other work to prepare the house to go up for sale. During this repair time I found that this plus my regular ministry work and home-work was more than a full-time job...  Hence, the spotty blogging...

I expected to have more time to blog when the house went up for sale. But - praise Yahweh as this really is a blessing - the house sold for top dollar - cash - in the first week it was up for sale! Yahweh is so good! And the property was worth every penny! So, we immediately entered a whirlwind of activity...  Holding a 4 day estate sale (Thursday, Friday, Sunday and Monday) over Labor Day Weekend.

After the sale, whatever didn't sell needed to be dealt with...  Then we moved my folks into their new apartment - in which they are very happy and comfortable - again, we praise Yahweh!...

No sooner had we gotten them situated and settled than we were needing to gear up for our annual Fall (Feast of Tabernacles) Retreat. This Retreat begins this next week, on Monday, October 14 and will conclude on October 21. We are eagerly anticipating all the blessings in this time of spiritually feasting in Yahweh's Word and in fellowship with dear believers.

But, I just can't keep up with blogging, with all that's going on...  And it's not going to slow down for me even after the Retreat...  Why? Well, something very big and wonderful is happening in our ministry immediately following the retreat...  But, I cannot tell you all about it just yet. I will explain in more detail in a couple of weeks - and I'm sure you'll fully understand why I needed to stop blogging briefly...  More later...

Thanks, in advance for your patience with me. And thank you also for joining me this year in this focus on the heavens. I will return to blog some more ASAP. Until then, shalom, and I invite you to check out our Fall Retreat on Livestream. Go to https://lightedway.org/ and follow the Livestream link.

Then Tenth Star-family - Part 2

Ta'am's Decans - Ze'eb (Canis Major) and Shalem (Canis Minor)

The next two decans of Ta’am are Ze’eb
(Canis Major) and Shalem (Canis Minor). Today, these constellations are depicted as two dogs, with Ze’eb (Canis Major) being the larger of the two. But the portrayal of these two constellations as dogs is incorrect, according to the ancient star-depictions. In fact, in the ancient star-charts there is some conflict as to the correct portrayal of Ze’eb (Canis Major) and its lesser partner (Shalem).

Ze’eb (Canis Major) is home to Sirius, the brightest star in the sky. Shalem (Canis Minor) is home to Procyon, one of the brightest stars in the night sky, Luyten’s Star, one of the nearest stars to Earth, and the spiral galaxy NGC 2485, among other notable objects.

In the Dendera Zodiac, Ze’eb is shown as a hawk, which is a different kind of predator which still preys upon rabbits. Then in the Persian Planesphere, Ze’eb is shown as a wolf. Plutarch is more specific, referring to Ze’eb as the “leader” (alpha wolf). For the purposes of my book and this blog, the depictions of Ze’eb and Shalem will be showing a leader wolf and a lesser wolf, both of whom are guarding the rabbit.

The alpha wolf, called Ze’eb (Canis Major), portrays Christ in His Role of defeating,
binding, and stripping the power from the devil. As Scripture says, it is Yahshua (the Strongest Man) who binds the “strong man”, which is the devil (Psalm 19:5; Matthew 12:29).

So why are there two wolves shown in this sky-picture? Certainly one wolf is sufficient to take care of a trembling rabbit! But, the lesser wolf represents the people of God who have been perfect (whole-hearted) in their love for Him (Shalem). After Christ’s Return, the Bride is shown working alongside the Bridegroom. So, as He Works in Judgment, she joins Him in this work (1 Corinthians 6:3). But there is more to this star-message.

Wolves also symbolize the harmony and safety which the saints will enjoy after the Second Coming of Christ. In Heaven and in the New Earth, the wolf is portrayed as “lying down” with the lamb to rest. This is to show that there will be no killing—no death—in the wonderful future that God is preparing for His Children. Former
carnivores will then eat vegetation with the herbivores (Isaiah 11:7; Isaiah 65:25).

Isaiah 11:6, 9 “The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb... and a little child shall lead them... They shall not hurt nor destroy in all My holy Mountain: for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of Yahweh, as the waters cover the sea.”

Thus, in this star-family, we see a beautiful promise. There is coming a time when there will be no temptation (the devil has no power to tempt). It will be a time of Peace.

Below Orion’s feet,
The hare is chased eternally.
Behind him Sirius ever speeds,
As in pursuit and rises after,
And eyes him as he sets.
Aratus (Greek poet, 312 A)

The Tenth Star-family Part 1

Ta'am's Decans - Arnebeth (Lepus)

The sky-picture in this tenth star-family shows that Satan will be rendered fully powerless during the time of the Marriage Supper of the Lamb. He is not dead, for the devil’s final end is foreshadowed in the last star-family (Aryeh), but he is fully stripped of all his power. To portray this in a symbolic way, the first decan of Ta’am is Arnebeth which depicts the devil as a scared “rabbit”, or hare.

Arnebeth (Lepus) is located just under the feet of Orion. Lepus means “the hare” in Latin. One star (the brightest in this constellation) still bears its original name (or part of it), being “Arneb”. It's Hebrew name is found in the Bible (by using a Strong's Concordance), as follows:
Leviticus 11:6 “And the hare (Arnebeth)... he is unclean unto you..”

A rabbit is notoriously powerless. It is at the bottom of the food-chain—the prey of choice for many a predator. Similarly, after our King returns, the devil will be bound (Revelation 20:2) for a thousand years. This process of binding the devil renders him powerless, like a rabbit in a snare.

It is interesting also to notice the surroundings of the devil-rabbit shown in the sky. The placement of this constellation adds to its message and meaning. First, the hare has no where to run for it is guarded by two “dogs”, which are actually wolves—a predator of the rabbit. The greater and lesser wolf are the next two decans of this amazing star-family.

Additionally, one will note that the hare
constellation is positioned under the feet of Orion (Keisyl). This is to show the
fulfillment of Scripture, which says:
Malachi 4:3 “And ye shall tread down the wicked...”
Psalm 91:13 “Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet.”

Primary Constellation #10

Ta'am (Gemini)...

For the month of October, I will showcase the tenth star family. The primary constellation of the tenth star-family is Ta'am, which is now called Gemini.

Ta’am (Gemini) is located in the northern hemisphere of the sky. Gemini means “the twins” in Latin. Ta’am is the 30th largest constellation in the sky. Ta’am has seven stars which are known to have planets. There are two meteor showers associated with the constellation; the Geminids and the Rho Geminids. The

Geminids are usually bright and peak around December 13-14.

Ta'am - image created by Shauna Manfredine in her book God's Amazing Star Secret. Image is copyrighted.

This star-picture came to be viewed as “the twins” because these two do look alike. But the resemblance isn’t because they are twins. The ancients depicted this constellation as a man and woman—a bride and groom.

This constellation is portraying Christ, our Heavenly Bridegroom, with His Bride, who are united at the Marriage Supper of the Lamb (Revelation 19:9). The Bride looks like the Groom because, by His Grace, she now fully reflects His lovely Character (Ezekiel 16:14).

Ta’am, the original Hebrew name for this constellation is found in the Bible in
Exodus 26:24. Here it is used to describe the perfect fitting of the Sanctuary boards, which were coupled together.
Exodus 26:24 “And they shall be coupled together (Ta’am) beneath, and they shall be coupled together above the head of it unto one ring: thus shall it be for them both; they shall be for the two corners.”
The items which the Couple hold are all
significant. The harp is a symbol of victory and praise. The Heavenly Bridegroom is not playing the harp, rather He is holding it, which shows that the victory has been gained through His Power and it is He Who is worthy to receive the praise. The Groom also holds a bow. This connects the Bridegroom with Qesheth.

The Arrows shot from this Bow represent His Gospel Message which was “sharp in the heart of the King’s enemy” (Psalm 45:5). But the arrow is long gone, for the work of sharing the Gospel is finished.

Finally, the spear in the Bride’s hand portrays having passed through persecution. But the spear is at rest, for her time of suffering is forever finished. This is the time of joy!
Revelation 19:7-9 “Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to Him: for the Marriage of the Lamb is come, and His wife hath made herself ready... Blessed are they which are called unto the Marriage Supper of the Lamb...These are the true sayings of God.”

Moon Landing Conspiracy

Can a Flag Wave in a Vacuum?

Many conspiracy theories abound regarding whether or not mankind has stepped foot on the Moon... And, while I don't really want to throw my hat too far into this ring, I do want to always promote truth...  One reason many believe that NASA faked the lunar landing - and that it was really filmed in a Hollywood-style movie set on Earth - is that the US flag can be seen waving, yet there is no wind on the moon (a place of no atmosphere)...

So, please consider the following video experiment:

An Overview of October

Upcoming Sky Events for October 2019...

In the month of October, our special star-family will be Ta'am (Gemini) and its decans. The month of October has seven must-see sky events, which I will discuss in more detail on the day they occur. But here's a heads-up on what you can expect to see in the month of October:

October 3 - Venus (Nogah) will Conjunction Spica (star in the FirstFruits grain in Bethulah's Hand)

On the evening of Thursday, October 3, Venus's orbital path will carry it to less than three degrees above Virgo's (Bethulah's) brightest star - Spica. You should be able to sight the two in the western sky just after sunset.

October 3 - Unusual Daytime View of Jupiter (Tsedek)

Also, on Thursday, October 3, the moon will be located one degree above Jupiter (Tsedek). This conjunction will allow viewers to sight Jupiter in the daytime. Use the moon to help you find it. Jupiter will be located directly below the moon (which will also be viewable in the daytime) at mid-afternoon.

October 5 - Rare View of the Lunar X

On October 5, the rims of the lunar craters Purbach, la Caille, and Blanchinus will be illuminated forming a small, but very obvious X-shape on the surface of the moon. Look for the X about 1/3 of the way up from the southern pole of the moon). It probably doesn't have any spiritual significance, but sighting the Lunar X is a fun thing to do - and not very many people have done so.

October 13 - Smallest Full Moon of the Year

This full moon - the October full moon - which is traditionally called the Hunter's Moon rises at sunset and sets on sunrise. It will be the smallest full moon (visually) of 2019.

October 21-22 - Orionids Meteor Shower Peaks
Throughout the seventh biblical month (appropriately - since Orion is the Second Coming constellation) the annual Orionids meteor shower has been carrying on. Composed of debris from Halley's Comet, this meteor produces 10-20 fast meteors per hour (at its peak). It peaks on the Last Great Day (October 21) and on the night of October 22.

And that is an overview of some of the sky highlights for this month...

The 25 Brightest Stars in the Sky - Part 13

Acrux - the Cross Star

Can you name the brightest stars in the night sky? They have names and meanings so old that they go back to the time before the beginning of written language. The 25 brightest stars in the sky are (shown with their current names):

But what were their original names? What constellations are they part of? And what do their names mean? In this blog, I have been doing a mini-series on the 25 brightest stars in the sky. Today, our featured star is Acrux, which is the 13th brightest star.

Acrux, also known as "a Crucis" is a multiple star system that is 321 light-years from the Sun. It is located in the Crux constellation (shown below), which is visible in the Southern Hemisphere.

Acrux did not have an ancient Hebrew star name, as far as I can find (although it may have and the name was just lost through time). But it is the lower star in the four stars of the Southern Cross (Adom, in Hebrew).

This is a star with tremendous spiritual meaning. It's meaning is found in the overall constellation which it draws our eyes to behold - Adom, the Southern Cross.

As I explained in the second star-family (this past February) the second decan of Mozanaim is Adom, now called Crux or the Cross. This
constellation is in the shape of the Hebrew letter tav (the last letter of the Hebrew alphabet), which appears much like a cross in paleo Hebraic. The tav is the letter of God’s Covenant, “finishing” Redemption.  Significantly, when Yahshua died (on the shape of a tav), He said, “It is finished.”

Here are are few fun facts about Acrux:

1) While Acrux appears as a single star to the naked eye, it is actually made up of six components.

2) Acrux is the southernmost first-magnitude star. It is only visible south of latitude 27 degrees North. This means that it barely rises from places like Miami, Florida or Karachi, Pakistan. It is not ever viewable from New Orleans, Louisiana or Cairo, Egypt.

3) This star was visible to the ancient astronomers in India. They named it Tri-shanku.
