An Overview of June

Upcoming Sky Events for June 2019...

In the month of June, our special star-family will be Deli (Aquarius) and its decans. The month of June has several sky events, which I will discuss in more detail on the day they occur. But here's a heads-up on what you can expect to see in the month of June:

June 4 - New Moon Eve

The first visible crescent of the new moon should appear at sunset. Watch for the crescent moon which will follow the sun going down as it sets. The new moon will not be visible very long following the sunset. The biblical day of the New Moon always follows the New Moon Eve. So the New Moon day, being the third New Moon of our current Biblical year, will be June 5.

June 10 - Jupiter at Opposition

Jupiter (Tsedek in Hebrew) will be at its closest approach to Earth. Also, it will be fully illuminated by the Sun making it brighter than it is at any other time of the year. This will be the best time to view Tsedek and its moons. A medium-sized telescope should allow you to see some of the details in Tsedek's cloud bands. And simply using a good pair of binoculars should make it possible for you to see Tsedek's four largest moons, which will appear like bright dots on either side of the planet.

June 21 - Summer Solstice (or Winter Solstice for the Southern Hemisphere)

The June solstice is one of the four Biblical Tekufoh, which are: The spring and fall equinoxes (true) and the winter and summer solstices. The Summer Solstice is the longest day of the year. June 21 is the Summer Solstice in the Northern Hemisphere. But in the Southern Hemisphere, the June 21 solstice is the Winter Solstice - making it the shortest day of the year.

More on all of this on the day(s) of the event...

Reviewing the Heavenly Quadrants - Part 2

The Divisions of the Heavens in the Second Quadrant

As I explained yesterday and in my January 27, 2019 blog, the seraphim portray the Roles of Messiah as the righteous “Branch” (Tsemach, in Hebrew) of whom the Old Testament prophets wrote. (See page 172 of my book God's Amazing Star Secret, and the drawing below.)

In The Bible and in the heavens, Christ is portrayed as Messiah—the Branch. The symbols of Christ's Branch Roles are: the Eagle (for His Messianic Work as God), the Man (for His Human Role), the Bull (for His Servant Role), the Lion (for His Kingly Role), and the worthy Lamb (for His Sacrifice), which is Taleh (now called Aries).

In fact the heavens are divided into quadrants based upon the Branch Roles of Messiah. So far this year, we have studied the constellations in the Eagle quadrant (which shows Yahshua's Divinity) and have nearly finished the constellations in the Man quadrant-which will be completed in our study of the sixth star-family of next month.

For today, let's review the Man quadrant and its constellations. In the Man quadrant of the heavens, we find star families four through six, portraying Yahshua as our Example - the Role-model of righteous Manhood. By fulfilling this Messianic Branch prophecy, Christ took our place, as the Second Adam - because He was a sinless Man.

Zechariah 6:12 - "Behold the Man whose Name is BRANCH (Tsemach), He shall build the Temple of (Yahweh)."

In the second quadrant of the heavens - the Man quadrant - the constellations are displaying the theme of sanctified living, which is the lifestyle of a Holy-Spirit filled and empowered person - exemplified in the Life of Christ.

We have already studied Qesheth (the White Horse and Rider, now called Sagittarius) and Gedi (the Goat-fish of Atonement). And now, in the month of June, we will focus on the Message and significance of the third star-family in the Man quadrant (which is the 6th star-family counting from the first): Deli (now called Aquarius). As we conclude the Man quadrant, we will see the Work that Yahweh wants to do in and through each of His people, following after the Pattern of Yahshua.

Reviewing the Heavenly Quadrants -Quadrant #1

The Divisions of the Heavens Portray the Biblical "Branch" Prophecies

As I explained in my January 27, 2019 blog, the seraphim are a high order of holy beings that surround the Throne of God (Ezekiel 1:4-14; Revelation 4:5-8).They (Isaiah 6:1-8), portray the Roles of Messiah as the righteous “Branch” (Tsemach, in Hebrew) of whom the Old Testament prophets wrote. (See page 172 of my book God's Amazing Star Secret, and the drawing below.)

In The Bible and in the heavens, Christ is portrayed as Messiah—the Branch. There are five prophetic Roles which the Branch was foretold to fulfill. His fulfillment of these Branch prophecies was evident that Yahshua (Christ) was the true Messiah. The symbols of Christ’s Branch Roles are: the Eagle (for His Messianic Work as God), the Man (for His Human Role), the Bull (for His Servant Role), the Lion (for His Kingly Role), and the worthy Lamb (for His Sacrifice). The Lamb is Taleh.

As is shown in this Mazzaroth wheel (above), the heavens are divided into four quadrants, portraying four of the BRANCH Roles  of Messiah ("Branch" is translated from the Hebrew word "Tsemach") .

God’s star-story begins in the Eagle quadrant, continues to the Man quadrant, then to the Bull quadrant, and completes in the Lion quadrant.

So far this year, we have studied the constellations in the Eagle quadrant and have nearly finished the constellations in the Man quadrant-which will be completed in our study of the sixth star-family of next month.

For today, let's review just the Eagle quadrant with its specific messages and purpose. The Eagle quadrant portrays the DIVINE Roles of our Messiah - His Work that He does as God...

The constellations in this part of the heavens represents the BRANCH in the Divine Role as Judge. The eagle’s vision is renowned. Since it sees all, it is a fitting symbol of Christ in His godly Role as the Judge—Jeremiah 33:15.

Jeremiah 33:15 - “I will cause the BRANCH (Tsemach) of righteousness to grow up unto David. He shall execute judgment and righteousness in the land.”

In the Eagle quadrant of the heavens, we find the first three star-families, portraying the Divine Work of our Messiah as follows:

1) God became Man and dwelt among us in order to bridge the grievous breach between sinful man and a holy God - This is the Message of Bethulah, the first primary constellation (and its decans).

2) God paid for the redemption of fallen man with His Own Blood. In Him we have Salvation - This is the Message of Mozanaim, the second primary constellation (and its decans).

3) God battles the the forces of darkness which would steal the Crown of Life from each of us. In His power, we may tread on serpents and scorpions. In Him, the Sting of Eternal Death is defeated - This is the Message of Aqrab, the third primary constellation (and its decans).

Because Jeremiah calls this Divine Work of Yahshua, our righteous BRANCH, "Judgment", we may not be able to see it as a good thing. We often have a mental block against "Judgment", casting it in a negative connotation. But judgment is not only negative. In court, being cleared of guilt and rendered innocent is also a judgment.

Because of the Divine Work of Yahshua, our righteous Branch-who does for, in and through us what we could not do for ourselves-we may receive the Judgment of Eternal Life instead of Eternal Death! This is the wonderful Message and Promise of the first quadrant of the heavens - the Eagle quadrant.

NGC 3572

Beautiful Nebula in The Real Ship that's Going Through

Near the starry keel of the ship, there lies an amazing and colorful nebula. We won't discuss the ship constellation in too much depth now, for it is a decan in our 11th star family - so it is coming much later in this year :-) But, for now, let us say that it is the ship that's going through - representing the company of the saved (see the image below).

And drawing attention to this amazing ship, visually calling to each of us to be sure that we're on board, is this amazing nebula of glowing gas known as NGC 3572. The above photo is an image taken by Andrew Campbell and posted under the astronomy photo of the day.

The striking colors of the nebula are formed by emissions of hydrogen, oxygen and sulfur. This dazzling nebula spans about 100 light years and lies about 9,000 light years away toward the southern constellation of the Ship's Keel (Carina).

Oh the wonders and creative works of Yahweh stretch on and on! What a great Yahweh He is!

A Closer Look at our own Star

The Amazing Sun

The closest star to Earth is, of course, our Sun. There is nothing quite so impressive - near to Earth - as our Sun to demonstrate the great power of our Creator! So, just for a moment, let's take a closer look at our nearest star - our own Sun, called Chammah, in Hebrew. The more we discover about the Sun, the more powerful we learn that it is. Thus, in Scripture, the Sun is often used a metaphor depicting the power of God and the endurance of His mighty Throne.

Psalm 84:11 "For Yahweh God is a Sun and shield: Yahweh will give grace and glory: no good thing will He withhold from them that walk uprightly."

Psalm 89:36  "His seed shall endure for ever, and His Throne as the Sun before me."

The Sun is a near-perfect sphere of hot plasma. Plasma (not to be confused with blood plasma) is one of our four fundamental states of matter, which are: solid, liquid, gas, and plasma. A plasma is a hot, ionized gas with approximately equal numbers of positively charged ions and negatively charged electrons. It has different characteristics from ordinary, neutral gases, which is why a plasma is considered to be the fourth state of matter.

The surface of the Sun is dynamic with an internal convective motion, which generates a magnetic field. It is about 864,000 miles in diameter (1.39 million kilometers), which is 109 times larger than Earth. Also, the Sun's mass is about 330,000 times more than the Earth. It's mass consists of hydrogen (about 73%); while the rest is mostly helium (about 25%) with small quantities of heavier elements including oxygen, carbon, neon, and iron.

The Sun's surface appears to be churning, seething, and at times even exploding into space.
The Sun's surface experiences solar flares or magnetic storms. These appear to be a very bright spot on the sun and a gaseous surface eruption.

A solar flare releases huge amounts of high-energy particles and gases, which are ejected thousands of miles from the surface of the Sun. Recently, scientists discovered that solar flares can cause powerful sunquakes (which are violent seismic events) on the surface of the Sun. When a sunquake occurs, energy is released in seismic waves on the relatively fluid surface of the Sun. Sunquakes are powerful and would rate about 11.3 on the Richter scale, which means they release about 40,000 times more energy than the famous 1906 San Francisco earthquake.

Another impressive way the Sun releases energy is the solar prominence. A solar prominence (also known as a filament) is an arc of gas that erupts from the surface of the Sun. Prominences can loop hundreds of thousands of miles into space. The following video clip shows a massive solar prominence. This image was taken in 2011 by NASA's Sun-orbiting, Solar Dynamic Observatory.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PBL1RBj-P1g

The scale of this prominence is huge. The entire Earth would easily fit under the arcing curtain of gas.

But as impressive and awe-inspiring as this star is, consider how much more powerful must be its Creator! Scripture tells us that our Creator breathes out stars - like our Sun, yes, but many more are so massive that they make our own Sun appear no bigger than the period at the end of this sentence!

Psalms 33:6  "By the Word of Yahweh were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of His Mouth."

Keep that in mind the next time you're tempted to think you're troubles are too big for God to handle!

All of Creation Glorifies Yahweh - Except Mankind...

Lessons on Praise from the Red Tajinastes

In all of Yahweh's vast creation, the heavens glorify God.

Psalm 19:1 "The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth His handywork."

Upon Earth, the trees raise their lofty boughs and gracefully direct our eyes upwards to Him. The beauty the natural world honors Him and reveals the loveliness of its Sovereign. Birds sing His praises. In fact, according to Scripture, even the amazing songs of the sea creatures - like the humpback whales - are songs of praise to the Creator:

Isaiah 42:10  "Sing unto Yahweh a new song, and His praise from the end of the Earth, ye that go down to the sea, and all that is therein; the isles, and the inhabitants thereof."

Have you ever thought about it? What - in all of Yahweh's vast Creation - does not praise Him and bring Him glory? Only humankind...  How I wish I could have answered that nothing in all of Yahweh's vast Creation refrains from praising Him. And one day, this will be true!

But while many people refuse to honor and praise the Creator, we may wisely choose to join in with the rest of creation in praising the King of kings.

Psalm 150:6  "Let every thing that hath breath praise Yahweh. Praise ye Yahweh."

Each day, NASA posts an astronomy photo of the day. I often look them over and have found some amazing images. Today's astronomy photo is the image below. In the image, which is a photo taken by Daniel Lopez, red tajinastes are in full bloom. Mr. Lopez used wide angle exposure and illuminated (with flashlight) the 3 meter tall flowering plants he found in the volcanic rocks on the Canary Island in the Teide National Park.

I couldn't help but appreciate that the tall blooms are pointing upwards to their Creator, giving Him glory during their short blooming season, even though their devotion cannot be seen or appreciated by most.

I, too, want to bloom where my Creator has planted me. I want to point towards Heaven, giving my Father glory throughout all of my days. And may I glorify Him just as faithfully whether my devotion is seen by man or by Yahweh alone. This is my prayer. Is it yours as well?

Requesting Special Prayer

Fellow Astronomy Enthusiast and Friend - Dave Manley Needs Prayer!

Dear friends and prayer warriors,

I am writing this blog today to request special prayer for a friend and fellow Biblical astronomy enthusiast, Dave Manley. Dave and his wife came up to see my husband and I a while back after having seen my book God's Amazing Star Secrets. Knowing the Gospel in the stars, Dave had been teaching the message of the Mazzaroth for years and was so excited to see this book on a topic for which he shared so much passion.

Dave and Kathy are a lovely couple, and we enjoyed our time with them greatly. Dave shared several astronomy books and charts with us - some on loan, and some as a gift. We have been so blessed by his generosity and kindred spirit on this important topic.

Not long ago, we received a very sad e-mail. Dave had fallen and was not feeling well. A doctor's visit revealed he has a very serious cancer in an advanced stage. Our hearts and prayers go out to Dave and Kathy in their hour of need. And we felt it would be a blessing to them to enlist as many of our fellow prayer warriors as possible to intercede for Dave in this trying time. Will you please join us in lifting up Dave Manley before the Father's Throne?

And, Dave, if you should chance to see this posting, our hearts and prayers are with you! Shalom!

Two Nebulae in Dalah (Delphinus)

Dalah's (Delphinus) Deep Space Beauties

As we have already seen in this blog, Dalah, now called Delphinus, is the third decan of Gedi. Dalah refers to something “drawn out” of the water—such as a fish, that is drawn out by a fishing line. The Greeks changed the name of the constellation to Delphinus, which means “dolphin”.

As we have already seen in our study of Gedi, fish represent converts to the Kingdom of God. So, in the three decans of Gedi we see the results of accepting Christ’s Atonement. The results of this choice include personal suffering, perhaps even persecution, but the arrows of God’s Truth will triumph over darkness. And there will be “fish’” (souls) saved through God’s “fishers of men”, which we are all called to become.

Psalm 30:1 “...I will extol thee, O Yahweh; for Thou hast lifted me up (Dalah), and hast not made my foes to rejoice over me.”

Numbers 24:7 “He shall pour the water out of His buckets, and his seed shall be in many waters...”

The water-themed subject of this constellation is carried out in its deep-space objects as well. The beautiful constellation of Dalah is home to the globular clusters NGC 6934 and NGC 7006 and to the planetary nebulae NGC 6891 and NGC 6905, also know as the Blue Flash Nebula (see images below).

Top Ten Most Dangerous Places in the Universe - Part 3

#3 A Blue Jewel of Stained Glass

HD 189733b is an amazing exoplanet, which clearly demonstrates that our wonderful Creator has made many worlds for tremendous beauty.

Now, before I tell you what the conditions are like on this beautiful exoplanet, let me first remind you that the things our Heavenly Father has made out there in the universe did not all need to be "hospitable" to carbon-based life-forms. After all, in Yahweh's Universe, only Earth contains fallen beings, who are mortal and who can be harmed by such amazing places as HD 189733b.

This amazing exoplanet is located 63 light-years away from Earth. And to look at it there glistening in the sky like some kind of collector's-edition marble one must admire the jewel-like beauty of this remarkable place.

Although HD 189733b appears almost Earth-like in its blueness, it is very unlike Earth. The temperatures are about 1270 K on its surface. And it rains glass - sideways. The blue color comes from silicate particles in the planet's atmosphere which scatter blue light, glistening in the air like amazing shards of "stained" glass. The glass grains would be flying around in the planet's 4000 mph wind, which causes it to rain glass sideways on HD 189733b.

And while we can truly be thankful we don't live on such a place as this, we can also see that the wise Creator didn't make HD 189733b for our forms of life. Had He intended such it surely would not be as it is. But, instead, Yahweh has made a place of breathtaking beauty. No its not a place to land and walk about. But viewing it from space, we can appreciate and admire our loving God's blue jewel exoplanet of stained glass!
