Next Month's Sky Overview

Upcoming Sky Events for March 2019...

The month of March has several sky events, which I will discuss in more detail on the day they occur. But here's a heads-up on what you can expect to see in the month of March:

March 7 - New Moon Eve

The first visible crescent of the new moon should appear at sunset. Watch for the crescent moon which will follow the sun going down as it sets. The new moon will not be visible very long following the sunset. March 8 (the day following the sighting of the first visible sliver) will be the 13th new moon of the Biblical year (since the Biblical year begins in the spring). This may seem strange at first, but this year the Biblical year has a thirteenth month! I will explain about this in my blog on this day...

March 17 - Equilux

Equinox is Latin for the equal night. But this is actually not the day on which one sees 12 hours of light and 12 hours of dark. The day on which day and night are actually equal is the day of the equilux (meaning equal light). This day is the real, biblical Tekufah, marking the end of the Biblical year. From this Tekufah point, God's Calendar requires us to watch for the next new moon sighting (which is the day of the New Moon). The New Moon following the spring Tekufah is the first day of the Biblical year. I will explain this more thoroughly in my March 17 blog.

March 20 - Equinox

The Vernal Equinox is the day most keep as the official end of winter and the start of spring. Many believers use this date for ending the Biblical calendar. In my blog on March 20, I will show how and when this practice began, and that it was not the original way to determine the sacred calendar.

March 21 - Full Moon / Supermoon


On March 21, we will enjoy the last of the three full moon supermoons. Once again, a supermoon is when the moon visually appears larger and brighter than normal.

Of course, in this blog, during March, you can expect me to discuss these above listed sky-events on the day they will occur. In between those days, I'll continue showing details about the Mazzaroth. Additionally, I'll be featuring the third star family during the month of March, which is: Aqrab (the Scorpion) and its three decans. 

Each month I plan to feature a different star family, allowing us to cover all 12 of the primary constellations with their three decans in the course of this year.

Sky Event #8

Mercury at Greatest Eastern Elongation

If you're living in the Northern Hemisphere and have never seen the planet Mercury before, there is going to be a golden opportunity to see this planet in tonight's sky. If you live in the Southern Hemisphere, your best viewing of Mercury will be in October this year.

Why is sighting Mercury usually difficult? Mercury is the innermost planet in our solar system, orbiting the sun inside of Earth's orbit. As a result, Mercury is usually lost in the glare of the sun. But this evening, Mercury will reach its greatest elongation (maximum angular separation from the sun) at 18 degrees east of the setting sun. 

Mercury is also very bright right now. In fact it will shine more brightly in tonight's sky than even the magnitude 1 stars like Spica and Antares.

To see it, go out this evening at just after sunset. Mercury will visually follow the sun down setting about 1 hour after the sun.

Mercury will continue to show itself in the Northern Hemisphere from now through March, shining each evening just after sunset. But, with the greatest elongation being tonight, you won't want to wait. Go out and sight it!

In my January 18 blog on "The Original Seven Parts of our Solar System", I explained that Mercury was anciently known as Kokah, which means "star" in Hebrew.

In this shining "star" lies a higher Calling which Yahweh desires each of us to heed. It's the Calling to shine as the stars...  as Kokah... for Him. The Father's Message in Kokah is found in Daniel chapter 12:

Daniel 12:3  "And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever."

As we enjoy the special view of Kokah tonight, may we all heed the Father's Call and be among His wise ones, who shine brightly for Him as Kokah does tonight.

Tribe of the Month

Levi is the Tribe Associated with Mozanaim (the Scales)

My featured star-family for the month of February is Mozanaim (the Scales), which is Star-family #2 of the 12 primary constellations and their decans. As I mentioned in my January 11, 2019 blog, "What is the Significance of the 12 Primary Constellations?", each of the 12 primary constellations is associated with one of the 12 tribes of Israel.

The tribe which is associated with the constellation Mozanaim (now called Libra) is Levi. 

We will deepen our understanding of the Heavenly Message in this star-family by looking at the prophecies of Levi, given in the Scripture by both Jacob and Moses.

When Jacob was near the end of his life, he called his sons before him and spoke a prophetic word over them, which is found in Genesis chapter 49. His death-bed prophecies for his sons were not just prophetic words to the 12 tribes while his twelve sons were still alive, the prophecies were to have an ultimate fulfillment in the Last Days. We know this, because Jacob said so himself, in verse 1 of that chapter:

Genesis 49:1  "And Jacob called unto his sons, and said, Gather yourselves together, that I may tell you that which shall befall you in the Last Days."

So, as we find a message for our personal sanctification and spiritual growth in the 12 star-families of the Mazzaroth, that message is deepened by echoing it with the tribal prophecies of Jacob, which are meant for Israel in the Last Days- Scripturally called the "Seed of Abraham" (for Abraham begat Isaac and Isaac begat Jacob and Jacob begat 12 sons who formed the 12 tribes of Israel). 

In Jacob's prophecy from Genesis 49, his prophetic word for Levi was joined with his Simeon prophecy. It is found in Genesis 49:5-7:

Genesis 49:5-7  "Simeon and Levi are brethren; instruments of cruelty are in their habitations. O my soul, come not thou into their secret; unto their assembly, mine honour, be not thou united: for in their anger they slew a man, and in their self-will they digged down a wall. Cursed be their anger, for it was fierce; and their wrath, for it was cruel: I will divide them in Jacob, and scatter them in Israel." 

To understand this prophecy, let's begin by looking at the meaning of Levi's name. "Levi" means "attached, united, joined", as we find in Strong's Concordance # H3878. When Leah gave birth to Levi, she proclaimed a prophetic utterance over him, although this was probably not her intent. It's found in Genesis 29:34. Seeing she had given birth to a son, she proclaimed that her husband would now be "joined" to her (in heart). This was why she called the child "Levi" (joined).

This was indeed a prophecy. For the saved people of Yahweh are to be "joined" to their spiritual Heavenly Bridegroom. And through the Redemptive Work of Christ, portrayed in the scales of Levi's constellation, the people of God are "united" and "joined" with Him for their Salvation.

Hebrews 2:9-11  "But we see Yahshua, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that He by the grace of God should taste death for every man. For it became Him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings. For both He that sanctifieth and they who are sanctified are all of one (joined, through His Sacrifice) for which cause He is not ashamed to call them brethren." 

Now, let's look at Jacob's prophecy of Levi from Genesis 49. We read it above, but this time, I will add in the meanings of the key words which are found in the Strong's Concordance. These meanings are in parenthesis in the following verse:

Genesis 49:5-7  "Simeon and Levi are brethren; instruments (weapons) of cruelty (violence, damage, injustice) are in their habitations (sword). O my soul (my thinking, my desires), come not thou into their secret (intimate company of persons); unto their assembly (company), mine honour (to make weighty, or important, to give glory to), be not thou united (joined with them): for in their anger they slew a man, and in their self-will (own pleasure) they digged down (hamstrung, removed, exterminated) a wall (the protection that goes about something or someone) Cursed be their anger, for it was fierce; and their wrath, for it was cruel: I will divide (separate) them in Jacob, and scatter (disperse) them in Israel." 

The immediate backstory of this prophecy was the Genesis 34 account of Dinah and the prince of the Hivites, named Shechem. Dinah was the lovely sister of Levi and Simeon. Prince  Shechem noticed her, wanted her, and ultimately committed fornication with her. Some say that he raped her. But I am not sure this fits the Bible account, for Genesis 34:3 says that "he loved the damsel, and spake kindly unto the damsel". Additionally, Genesis 34:19 says the young man was "honorable", albeit worldly, having had an extra-marital affair with the girl. But this description does not sound like a rape scenario.

After the incident and at the young prince's insistence, the prince's father, king Hamor came to Jacob to ask for Dinah's hand in marriage to his son prince Shechem. Jacob's answer to this request is not given because the brothers got involved. 

Levi and Simeon were angry when they learned that their sister was defiled and no longer a virgin. In Bible times, a man - and not the woman - was held responsible for a woman's purity. They deceitfully promised to allow the marriage under one condition - all Hivite men would need to be circumcised, after which time, intermarriage between Jacob's children and the Hivites (which included Shechem) would be acceptable to them. 

All the men of the Hivites, who lived in the city of king Hamor, agreed and were circumcised - from the palace to the peasants' hovel. Simeon and Levi waited two days after the men were circumcised. And on the third day, when the men were too sore to put up much of a fight. Simeon and Levi attacked the city and killed them all - including king Hamor and prince Shechem. Additionally, they took the women and children and all the spoils of the city.

Genesis 34:30 tells us that Jacob was not happy with his sons and their anger. Jacob said that their actions against the Hivites had made his name to "stink" in the land. 

This sad story of a wanton sister and angry, vengeful brothers is the backstory behind Jacob's death-bed prophecy over both Simeon and Levi. But Jacob's prophecy wasn't only meant for the brothers, while they lived. As he stated at the beginning, his prophetic words were meant most especially for God's people in the "Last Days" (Genesis 49:1). In other words, it is us that Jacob was warning to not admire anger, nor be joined with Simeon and Levi in wrath.

Learning to conquer anger is a vital part of living a truly changed life by the grace of God. Christians are told in the Scriptures to put away all anger. 

Ephesians 4:31 "Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice."

What does this have to do with the message of the scales constellation? The message of Mozanaim is one of warning. We are weighed in the balances of Judgment. We are wanting. But in Messiah's Atoning Sacrifice, there is Salvation. But, as the Psalmist stated plainly, we are not saved in our sins, but from them. We cannot continue to be rage-filled and wrathful and expect to inherit the Earth.

Psalm 37:8-9  "Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not thyself in any wise to do evil. For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon Yahweh, they shall inherit the earth."

Ungodly anger is centered around self and is characterized by a loss of self-control. Righteous indignation is in defense of the things of Yahweh, characterized by Spirit-control and vindication of holiness. 

Sometimes Christians justify their own anger by pointing out that Yahshua demonstrated righteous indignation, yet never did He sin. Yahshua never ceased to be controlled by the Holy Spirit, even when He cleansed the Temple and drove out the money-changers (John 2:13-17). His attitudes and actions never ceased to exhibit the Fruit of the Holy Spirit (Gal. 5:22-23).

Even during righteous indignation, the Holy Spirit’s rule in the heart continues. How often can we truly say that the Holy Spirit was in full control of our hearts during our last angry episode? Clearly, most of us have never experience true "righteous indignation"!

But there is good news for the spiritual tribe of Levi. Yes, Levi had an anger problem. But it must have been conquered. For Levi is listed among the final 12 tribes of Israel, found in Revelation 7:4-7 and Moses also spoke an End-time prophecy over the tribe of Levi. Like two bookends, the prophecies of Jacob and Moses complete the Heavenly message to this tribe.

After having stood faithful to Yahweh, standing alone while all the other tribes worshiped the golden calf, Levi was chosen for the priesthood. Here is Moses' prophetic message to the tribe of Levi:

Deuteronomy 33:8-11  "And of Levi he said, Let thy Thummim and thy Urim be with thy holy One, whom thou didst prove at Massah, and with whom thou didst strive at the waters of Meribah; 

Who said unto his father and to his mother, I have not seen him; neither did he acknowledge his brethren, nor knew his own children: for they have observed Thy Word, and kept Thy Covenant. They shall teach Jacob Thy judgments, and Israel Thy Law: they shall put incense before thee, and whole burnt sacrifice upon thine altar. Bless, Yahweh, his substance, and accept the work of his hands: smite through the loins of them that rise against him, and of them that hate him, that they rise not again." 

Thus, in Levi we see the Divine calling to be saved from our fleshly passions and self-serving ways. We are all called to serve Yahweh as His submitted priests - faithful. When the final testimony of Levi, can be pronounced over us, we fully accepted the Saviour's Purchase Price, and have found true and lasting Redemption from our sins.

Rarest Sky Events - Part 2b

In the Comets' Cross-hairs

Comets - with the exception of Halley's - typically pass by Earth once, within the period of human records. For this reason, Comets are definitely among the rarest of the sky events. As I mentioned in yesterday's blog, the Hale-Bopp Comet, which appeared in 1997, would have last been visible from Earth over 4000 years ago, in the time of Abraham. 

Before I show the path of the Hale-Bopp Comet, let me add one more vital detail...  about the Hyakutake Comet, which was visible from Earth just one year earlier. The paths of these two comets formed a prophetic Cross-hairs right through the devil's forehead, in the sky...  But I am getting ahead of my story. Let me back up and start with information about the Hyakutake Comet.

The Hyakutake Comet was first discovered on January 31, 1996. It kind of took everyone by surprise, upstaging the expected arrival of Hale-Bopp, which was due to be sighted one year later.

This passage of the Hyakutake Comet through our Solar System was a rare event indeed. Hyakutake has never before been seen on Earth in all human history. And it will not pass by this part of space again for another 70,000 years! But, on its amazing fly-by of Earth, the path of the Hyakutake Comet and the paths of the Hale-Bopp (one year later) intersected at a very significant spot in the sky.

To see this point of intersection and its significance, we need to turn our attention to the eighth star family. The eighth of the primary constellations is the great sky-Lamb, representing Yahshua, the worthy Lamb Who was slain. This constellation is now called Aries, but anciently it was known as Taleh, which means "lamb" in Hebrew. 

The first decan of Taleh (now called Aries) was called Parats, meaning "the Breaker" in ancient times. But it now known as Perseus. Because He will break the power of the enemy, bringing Satan’s terrible reign to an end, Yahshua Christ is given the title of “The Breaker” in both Scripture (Micah 2:13) and in the sky.

In the glorious sky-picture of Parats (now called Perseus), Messiah is portrayed as "The Breaker". Here we see Heaven’s mighty Warrior victoriously holding the severed head of his “giant” enemy, just as the young David once held up the head of the giant Goliath, in Old Testament times.  


The message of this constellation is simple and encouraging. The devil will not always be able to hurt, destroy and ruin. His time is short (Revelation 12:12). Yahshua, Who paid for our Redemption with His Blood, will one day put an end to Satan’s tyrannical dominion. This is the good news of the constellation Parats. 

But in 1996 and 1997 this constellation and message got a special heavenly highlight. Suggesting the devil’s impending doom, two comets passed through Ha Satan, conjuncting with the star Al Gol (Golyath, Hebrew). The paths of the two comets visually formed “cross-hairs” through Al Gol. 

In 1996, the Hyakutake comet passed through the head of Satan (for the giant head in this constellation is Satan's), conjuncting Al Gol as shown with the yellow, dotted line running from left to right. One solar year later to the day, the comet Hale-Bopp passed through Al Gol, as shown with the other yellow, dotted line in the picture above.

The Greeks said the severed head held in the hand of Parats (whom they called Perseus) belonged to Medusa (a demonic “goddess” with serpents for hair). Considering that the true identity of the defeated giant is actually the 
serpent from Eden—the devil himself—the Greeks weren’t too far off. But we may know that the severed head belongs to the devil because the Hebrew name of the severed head is Ha Satan (Satan), and the Arabic name was Al Ghoul (the evil spirit).

Golyath—the name of the star in the giant's forehead—is also the Hebrew name of the giant we call “Goliath” in the Bible. Like the heroic Parats in this constellation, David slew the giant Goliath (Golyath) by striking him in the forehead with a stone from his sling. In other words, David killed Goliath by hitting him in the forehead, in the location of the star Golyath. 


In this constellation, the giant enemy’s head has been severed and is being held up as a trophy of victory in the hands of Parats. Christ is represented in Parats and Satan is the slain giant whose severed head is in the hands of the Heavenly Judge. This star-picture is showing that our mighty Messiah will conquer Satan in the End. 

Most of humanity was ignorant of the heavenly Cross hairs which Yahweh shot through the devil's head in the sky on the very same day two years in a row. But while humanity continued on in ignorance, the sky-event must have sent shock waves of fear through the bowels of the kingdom of hell. And what good news it is for all of us. The devil's time is nearly up.

Rarest Sky Events - Part 2a

Hale Bop & Halley's Comet

In our examination of the 10 rarest sky events, comets make the list several times. This makes sense when you consider that all comets - with the exception of Halley's - pass by Earth once, within the period of human records. Thus, two of the rarest sky events are the sightings of the Hale-Bop and Halley's Comet.

Let's take a look at both of them and then we'll look at their placement in the heavens... We'll start off with Hale-Bopp.

The comet Hale-Bopp was first discovered on July 23, 1995 by two individuals, from which it gets its name. Independently, both Alan Hale and Thomas Bopp discovered this comet on the same day, before it became visible (from Earth) with the naked eye.

When Hale-Bopp passed perihelion (the point at which it is closest to the sun in its orbit path), on April 1, 1997, it was visible to the naked eye for a record period of 18 months. Obviously, Hale-Bopp is an exceptionally bright comet, for many comets are not visible with the naked eye from Earth. At its closest point, Hale-Bopp was 120 million miles from the surface of the Earth. 

But Hale-Bopp was not only visible - it remained visible to the naked eye for a record length of time - twice as long as the previous record holder, which was the Great Comet of 1811. This is why Hale-Bopp has been called the Great Comet of 1997.

The sighting of the Hale-Bopp comet is extremely rare. This is because of its unusual orbit path. To show you how rare, space scientists estimate that the last time (prior to 1997) that Hale-Bopp was seen from earth was in 2215 B.C., which is 4,235 years ago!

Also, to give some perspective on events, according to Usher's Chronology of Biblical events, 2215 B.C. is about when Yahweh changed Abram's name to Abraham (Genesis 17:1-21) and it is when Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed (Genesis 19), which is a shadow-picture of the the final destruction of the world at the End.

Hale-Bopp is not expected to return to Earth's sky until 4380 A.D., which is why it rightly appears on a list of the top 10 most rare sky events.

Now let's take a look at the Halley's Comet...

Halley's Comet, named after the English astronomer Edmond Halley, is on an orbit path that makes it visible from Earth with the naked eye every 75-76 years. When it makes its rare appearance, the comet is only visible for a very short time. It has the distinction of being the only comet which may be seen with the naked-eye that could appear twice in a person's life-time. 

Halley's sightings from Earth have been recorded since ancient times. On May 25, of 240 B.C. ancient Chinese astronomers recorded sighting Halley's comet. This is the first undisputed sighting of Halley's comet on record.

To give some historical point of reference, 240 BC sighting of Halley's comet was in the time when the Septuagint was being produced. The Septuagint is the Greek translation of the Hebrew Bible (39 Old Testament books). It was also the year that Origen compiled the Hexapla, a 6 columned parallel of Hebrew and Greek texts. By 300 BC, all of the original Old Testament books of the Bible had been written, collected and were considered to be a part of the Bible "canon".

While the first irrefutable sighting of Halley's comet is recorded in 240 B.C., there are earlier comet sightings, which were also most likely Halley's comet. As is recorded in Wikisource, "The Story of the Comets":

...The Chinese record 2 comets: one in July, 65 (BC) which remained visible for 56 days, and the other in February 66, which remained visible 50 days... Most likely, the last-named was Halley's Comet... And Cowell and Crommelin have definitely confirmed this... This comet was the sword-shaped sign recorded as having hung over the city of Jerusalem before the commencement of the war which terminated in the destruction of the Holy City.

Josephus says that several prodigies announced the destruction of Jerusalem: Amongst other warnings, a comet, of the kind called Xiphias, because their tails appear to represent the blade of a sword, was seen above the city for the space of a whole year. Josephus rebuked his countrymen for listening to false prophets while so notable a sign was in the heavens.

Dio Cassius mentions a comet which seemed to be suspended over the city of Rome before the death of Agrippa. The date would be B.C. 11. The path of this comet was recorded in great detail by the Chinese, and (John Russel) Hind (an English astronomer) thought that the records afforded "the most satisfactory proof that they belonged to the Comet of Halley." The 3rd week in October was suggested for the perihelion passage. The comet was lost in the Sun's rays 56 days after its discovery. 

Cowell and Crommelin (of the Royal Observatory at Greenwich) have made systematic efforts to trace Halley's Comet back further, and with some success, and it is not beyond the bounds of possibility that further identification will reward research because the Chinese records go back for six centuries before the Christian era, and besides them there exists a sprinkling of European observations, although all these latter are very much lacking both in precision of language and precision of dates." 

The last sighting of Halley's Comet was in 1986. And it isn't projected to return until 2061... 

But what is the spiritual significance of a comet? In answering this question, it should be noted that comets and meteors are closely connected with each other. This is because, in many cases, meteors are actually the debris from comets. Thus, the spiritual significance of comets and meteors are quite similar. Both comets and meteors are heavenly warnings of coming Judgment.

As we saw earlier in this blog, Josephus tells about miraculous warning signs of Jerusalem's impending destruction - one of which, was a comet. He referred to all the signs as supernatural, including: a vision of an army which appeared in the clouds, a Voice announcing it was leaving the Temple, a bright light which shone on the altar, a Temple door left ajar - and the comet (which was undoubtedly the return of Halley's Comet in 66 AD). Josephus wrote: 

"Thus there was a star resembling a sword which stood over the city, and a comet that continued a whole year" (Bella Judaeorum, lib vi, v, 3).

Josephus' description reminds of another warning of destruction, as the angel of death-once stood on the threshing floor of Ornan (future site of the Temple) with a sword stretched out towards Jerusalem.

1 Chronicles 21:16  "And David lifted up his eyes, and saw the angel of Yahweh stand between the earth and the heaven, having a drawn sword in his hand stretched out over Jerusalem. Then David and the elders of Israel, who were clothed in sackcloth, fell upon their faces." 

So, given the dates of the sightings of Halley's Comet and Hale-Bopp, already referenced in this blog, what Judgments may have followed the comet sightings?

• Comet Sighting: Halley's in 240 BC 
• Judgment: 332 BC - Alexander the Great conquered Judea and Jerusalem

• Comet Sighting: Halley's in 11 BC 
• Judgment: First Advent of Messiah 3 BC and the conclusion of the Daniel 9:24-27 70 Week Judgment period.

• Comet Sighting: Halley's in 66 AD 
• Judgment: 70 AD - Roman forces destroyed Jerusalem and demolished the Second Temple.

• Comet Sighting: Halley's in 1986 
• Judgment: December 8, 1987 - First Intifada

• Comet Sighting: Hale-Bopp in 1997 
• Judgment: 2000 - Second Intifada

Perhaps, at this point, one may be wondering why the judgment seems to be centering on Jerusalem. The reason for this is that there is - in Jerusalem - a piece of Ground, which Heaven has made sacred. It is on this holy Ground that the first two temples stood. 

The Abomination of Desolation, in the past, also stood on this sacred Ground. And the final Abomination of Desolation will be on this holy Ground. With this background on these two comets, we are ready to take a look at the placement of Hale-Bopp in the Mazzaroth. And what Yahweh did with the paths of  two comets - Comet Hyakutake (in 1996) and Hale-Bopp (in 1997) - was hugely significant within the starry tapestry.

Lift Up Your Eyes on High...

What a wonderful God we have! And seeing all His tender watch-care over us, planning for our every need, far beyond our own awareness, gives us a huge reason to trust Him.

Isaiah 26:3  "Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee. Trust ye in Yahweh for ever: for in the Yahweh JEHOVAH is everlasting strength." 

Maybe today you find yourself exhausted, filled with doubts and disillusionment. Maybe you are starting to wonder whether God even sees or hears you. If so, Yahweh has a Word for you.

It doesn't explain why everything is happening the way it is in your life, though you probably couldn't fully grasp God's Perspective on it even if He showed it to you (no one could). But it does give you the path to hope, strength and renewal. It is one of the most powerful and personal messages Yahweh has for you - and you will find it in the stars.

Isaiah 40:25-31"'To whom then will ye liken Me, or shall I be equal?', saith the Holy One. Lift up your eyes on high, and behold who hath created these things, that bringeth out their host by number: He calleth them all by names by the greatness of His Might, for that He is strong in power; not one faileth. Why sayest thou, O Jacob, and speakest, O Israel, My way is hid from Yahweh (He doesn't see me), and my judgment is passed over from my God (He isn't defending or caring for me)? Hast thou not known? Hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, Yahweh, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? There is no searching of His understanding. (His wisdom is beyond measurement or comprehension). He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might He increaseth strength. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall. But they that wait upon Yahweh shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint." 

In Isaiah 40, God invites you to count the stars - if you can. You cannot do it of course, but it isn't the product (the actual number of the stars) that He's trying to show you - its the process! As you're considering the number of the stars, the Scripture from Isaiah begins to seep in to a deeper level. Yahweh knows all the stars. He's named them all. He keeps them all - and He's not tired.

Waiting and trusting in Him greatly honors Yahweh. He asks His people to do it. But it when we lift our eyes to the heavens that we can stop being Earth-centered and downward-focused. It is in sight of the vastness of the Father's Creation that we begin to understand, everyone matters - even me. And although I am small, nothing that He has made is insignificant in the Creator's Sight. All are ordered, present, and accounted for by His Power and Attention. 

Bearing that in mind, you are strengthened and enabled to wait in Yahweh, trusting in Him to provide for you as well.
