Biblical Astronomy - Session 27 - April 6, 2022

 SKY EVENTS FOR APRIL, 2022

In today's session, we studied the sky events for the month of April, 2022. The ones we covered so far are:

April 3: New Moon - Biblical Year Begins
The Creator gave the heavenly lights as His Clock. The heavenly lights (Genesis 1:14) are used to determine all time: literal and prophetic.

If you are unsure about how to calculate a Biblical Year, or what it has to do with sky events, please watch the 4-part Woman and Moon video series, which is viewable online at the following links:

April 23: Lyrids Meteor Shower Peaks
On the last Sabbath of the Feast of Unleavened Bread, if you head outside in the early morning (pre-dawn) hours, you will see a sky show of meteoric proportions!

This year's first meteor shower will peak on just prior to dawn on the 23rd of April. This shower is expected to produce 18-20 meteors per hour at the peak.

The Lyrids get their name from the constellation Lyra (in Hebrew, Kinnor), which appears in the Northern Hemisphere.

The meaning of a sky event is given by its placement and its participants.
