Biblical Astronomy 2 - Session 7 - October 26, 2022

In today's session, we concluded our study in the September 7 worksheet. What are the two Calendar Check points (the “two witnesses”):

1.     Creation – the original calendar (all time) was determined by the Heavens (Genesis 1:14):

·        The tekufot (four starts of the seasons) is the heavenly event which marks the beginning of a season. The sun visually passing through the four quadrants of the heavens (man, eagle, bull, lion – representing four of the 5 Branch prophecy roles of Messiah). The tekufot are:

                         i.  Spring Tekufah (Vernal Equinox) – day and night are equal in length. This tekufah marks the End of the Biblical Year.

ii.  Summer Tekufah (Summer Solstice) – longest day of the year.

iii.  Fall Tekufah (Autumnal Equinox) – day and night are equal in length…  You would know that the 7th new moon (counting from the first in the Spring) after this Tekufah is for counting the Sabbaticals/Jubilees.

iv.  Winter Tekufah (Winter Solstice) – shortest day of the year.

·        The first new moon (sighting) following the Spring Tekufah was the eve of the New Biblical Year. The next day was the New Moon Day.

2.     The Calvary Confirmation – In the time of Christ, Josephus and the way the Saducees did the calendar (high priest was a Saducee) show that the heavens were used in the same way as explained above. The Jewish leaders were keeping the Feasts on the right days…  How do we know? Heaven honored the day that the Jews said was Passover with Yahshua’s Death.

1.     Does the Jerusalem barley requirement fit either of these checkpoints? No! There was no Jerusalem Abib barley at Creation. Even to this day Messianic rabbis tell us that there is no record of Jerusalem barley from the Life of Christ.

What is the Creator’s Clock and what does it determine regarding time? (Genesis 1:14)

·        The Heavenly lights determine all time: the sun, the moon, the stars

·        The Heavenly Lights divide day from night.

·        The Heavenly Lights determine the length of a day.

·        The Heavenly Lights determine the start and end of the year.

The Heavenly Lights also indicate prophetic time.

If you are registered in the class, the new astronomy worksheet will be sent to you in an e-mail.
