Biblical Astronomy 2 - Session 28 - May 3, 2023

In today's class, we did a quick refresh on the sky-events for this coming week (between now and next class). These sky events are:

Friday, May 5 - Full Moon - Penumbral Lunar Eclipse
Sabbath, May 6 - Eta Aquarids Meteor Shower

May Featured Constellation: Re’eym

During the month of May, the sun visually passes through Re’eym, the mighty Bull which heralds the Second Coming and the 7 Last Plagues – Numbers 24:8

Event Details: Full Moon / Penumbral

Lunar Eclipse

·  Date: Friday, May 5

·  Constellation/Location: Mozanaim (Libra) the Scales

What is a penumbral lunar eclipse? A penumbral lunar eclipse occurs when the moon passes through the Earth’s partial shadow, or penumbra. During this type of an eclipse, the moon darkens slightly, but not completely.

o Visible in: throughout all of Asia and Australia and parts of eastern Europe and eastern Africa.

o This eclipse is the last of four Metonic cycle lunar eclipses on the same date: May 4-5…  Each of these four lunar eclipses which happened on May 4-5 is separated by 19 years. They happen(ed) on:

§  May 4-5, 1966

§  May 4-5, 1985

§  May 4-5, 2004

§  May 4-5, 2023

·  Sky events are connected with Hebrew!

o   The original constellation asterisms were the Proto-Sinatic Hebrew letters.

o   High probability = Proto-Sinatic Hebrew is the Language of Heaven

o   Provable – Proto-Sinatic Hebrew was the Mother of Earth languages… all language comes out of it.

o   In the story of Daniel/Belteshazzar, the bloodless hand wrote the Judgment on the wall of the palace in this language…  which Daniel could read, but was already largely unknown.

o   There was one language on earth, Biblically, prior to the Tower of Babel.

o   Hebrew letters are both serving as letters AND numbers…

o   Sky events which are connected by a number interval, have the meaning of that number as a part of the Message…

·         Meaning of 19 in Hebrew:

o   In Hebrew, 19 is yod, tet  יט

Yod = 10 and means “HAND” of Yahweh or “WORKS” of Yah.

o   Yod is related to WORK. With His Hands, Yahweh WORKED with man intimately, to personally form him from the dust of the earth (Genesis 2:7). The other things He simply spoke into existence. But with mankind, He stooped down and personally molded him.

o   The Yod is the Hand of Yahweh, reaching and grasping. It signifies the Father holding what is HIS. God’s special things, that He declares are “MINE”, most often begin with Yod (Y):

§  His Holy, Covenant Name: YHWH

§  His Holy People: Yisrael

§  His only begotten Son: Yahshua

§  His holiest Day: Yom Kippur

o   The letters Yod and Kaph denote different aspects of the hand. Yod is the Active Hand by which to grasp and hold things. It is a symbol of personal power and possession (ultimately showing the Power and Ownership of Yahweh). Kaph is the Open Hand meaning to give and receive things.

Tet = 9 is the letter of JUDGMENT and means “yoked and submitted” (positive Judgment) or “a snake” (negative Judgment) either way it is “to surround”.

· Tet is a paradoxical letter in that it reveals both good  (tov) and evil. The form of the letter is "inverted," suggesting hidden goodness, like that of a woman who is pregnant with child. However, sometimes the potential for goodness  (tahorah) is perverted, and impurity or filth  (tumah) results.

· Tet is the least frequently occurring letter in the Scriptures (Yod is the most popular). The letter first appears in Genesis 1:4: “And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.”

· But note even here that there is a sort of paradox. God saw that the light was good, but God separated the light from the darkness, thereby making a distinction.

·         Within Yahweh’s Righteous Judgments, we reap the fruit of what we sow. Thus, TET, stands for JUDGMENT and for FRUIT –

o   Galatians 6:7-9 “Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.  For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.  And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.”

The meaning of the 19 – Metonic Cycle of the lunar eclipse: Yahweh is Mighty and does Work – Judgment Work…  What we receive in Judgment is our choice (Choose Life). But the Work of Yah in giving out the earned Judgment to each person is unstoppable. KNOW (surely) that Yahweh is able and will bring about the appropriate Judgment for each person. What we sow, we will reap (Galatians 5:16-25).

The Players in the Event are:

·         The MoonLavanah (to be clothed in white, representing the Bride of Christ) – so this sky event bears a special message to the Bride

·         The Lunar Eclipse – All lunar eclipses herald (or warn of) the soon-coming Judgment of Yahweh – this is a Message to the world.

·         The Scales Constellation Mozanaim (Libra)

The meaning of the Scales is JUDGMENT and PURCHASE

·         Daniel 5:27 – “Thou art weighed in the balances (Mozanaim, the scales), and art found wanting.” The scales do not balance…  Judgment for unbalanced scales is death.

·         Job 6:2Oh that my grief were thoroughly weighed, and my calamity laid in the balances (Mozanaim, the scales of Judgment) together!”

·         Romans 3:23 – “All have sinned and come short (we don’t balance the scales) of the Glory of Yah”.

o   “the wages of sin is death…  but the gift of Yah is Eternal Life through Yahshua…”

The Message to the Bride – the placement of the lunar eclipse is on the side of the scales with the star Zuben al Schemali, meaning “the price which covers”. So the Message is Judgment is coming, but the Bride is covered – Passover – she is protected under the Blood of the Lamb. The blood red moon reminds of the Blood protection. Judgment for the Bride is LIFE, the Life is in the Blood. Lunar eclipses are called “blood moons”.

The Message to the World – the placement of the lunar eclipse is near the middle post of the scales, bearing the star Zuben al Genubi, meaning “the price is deficient”... “to be weighed (judged) and found wanting”. So the Message is Judgment is coming, and the time is running out (moon is near “Zuben al Genubi”) to be covered under Yahshua’s Blood. For those who reach Judgment Day without the Blood of Yahshua – the unbalanced scales mean DEATH.

The scales represent receiving what we DESERVE… The Judgment coming is equal, just, proportioned… to whatever we “weigh out” to deserve. In Christ, we receive what HE deserves, in that He took what we deserve.

PLANS FOR NEXT YEAR:

This year's Biblical Astronomy class will conclude on May 31, 2023. Shauna Manfredine is not planning to teach a Biblical Astronomy class online next year (September of 2023 to May of 2024). She will be teaching two other courses however, in which you may be interested (please pre-register now, if interested):
