In today's session, we talked about the upcoming sky-events remaining for this year. Each class participant had the opportunity to stretch their wings and try their hand at "reading" the Creator's Message in a sky event.
We also talked about our plans for next year. Biblical Astronomy will be offered again, starting on Tuesday, August 23, 2022. From there, we will plan to meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays through to May of 2023.
Last Biblical Astronomy Class for the 2021-2022 academic year was May 25, 2022.
This is the last month for us to meet - for this academic year. Our last Biblical Astronomy Session will be Wednesday, May 25, 2022.

Hi There, I'm sorry i got quite a bit behind. I've just caught up now. I'd like to briefly outline the draconoids Meteor shower as it's fascinating to me that it occurs on or around the day of atonement. This meteor shower will be visable in the northern Hemisphere and it takes place in draco the dragon. It is created when the earth passes through the dust debris left by the comet 21P/ Giocobini-Zinner, which takes about 6.6 years to circle the sun. Although some have been quite spectacular, many don't consider this event to be that interesting.
ReplyDeleteThis dragon draco is pictured as being about to be crushed by bau- or the messiah. As stated in Genesis, that Christ will crush the head of the serpent. The dragon and the serpent both represent Satan. And how perfectly fitting that this happens on atonement when Yeshua will deliver us from Satan's power and influence. As is depicted in this constelation and also in the message of atonement- total victory over the devil. Praise Yah. Isaiah 27:1 gives this contelation name of draco (Taaeen) which is in Qesheth- the carrier of the gospel throughout the earth, destroying the kings enemies and setting the captives free (psalm 43:3-5)

I feel i have enough info to spring board going forward but may be interested in picking back up when you get to new events we have not yet covered. I got a telescope for my birthday so I am looking forward to seeing more things.
