Mozanaim and its Decans (and star names) are found in the Bible!
Along with showing the prophetic significance of this year's heavenly events, in this blog, I will be featuring one of the 12 ancient star-families each month. A star family is the primary constellation and its 3 decans, which were known in the ancient world and which were originally named and shaped by God Himself.
This month, the featured star family is Mozanaim. Mozanaim, as we have already seen in this blog, represents the tremendous Price (the Blood of Messiah) which was paid for the redemption of fallen mankind. It may seem that these constellations don't appear in the Bible. But that is only how it looks until you remember the Bible wasn't originally written in English. The original Hebrew star and constellation names are found in the Bible. But to find them, you need to use your Strong's Exhaustive Concordance.
Romans 3:23
1 Corinthians 6:19-20
The star names from the constellation of Mozanaim are also found in the Bible. Here are the places where Mozanaim's star names and/or meanings can be found:
The concepts and messages of Mozanaim's three decans also appear in the Bible. Here are the places where the decans names and/or meanings appear in Scripture:
Asedah (now called Lupus, the wolf) - This constellation shows our "wolfish" natures, and how Christ took our sinfulness upon Himself and died in our places:
Adom (now called Crux, the Cross-shaped Tav) - This constellation shows Christ's Death on Calvary.
Atarah (now called Corona Bornealis, "the crown") - This constellation represents the reward of Eternal Life, promised to all who are redeemed by Yahshua's Blood.

The Strong’s Exhaustive Cordance number for Mozanaim is H3977 (“H” stands for Hebrew). It is from the root word H3976. The Hebrew word “mo-zen” appears here. The ending “aim” makes the term plural.
By looking up the two numbers for Mozanaim, (which as we saw above is H3976 and H3977), we are able to find all the Bible references to this constellation name. H3976 appears in the Bible fifteen times and H3977 appears in the Bible once. This means that this constellation name is mentioned in the Bible 16x.
Here are a few places where the name of this second primary constellation appears in the Bible: (The constellation name: Mozanaim is bold and underlined in the verses below)
Job 31:6 "Let me be weighed in an even balance (mozen) that God may know."
Daniel 5:27 "...Thou art weighed in the balances (mozen), and art found wanting."
Job 6:2 "Oh that my grief were throughly weighed, and my calamity laid in the balances (mozen) together!"The concept and message of Mozanaim also appears in the New Testament. Here are a couple of references:
Romans 3:23
1 Corinthians 6:19-20

- Zuben al Shemali (which means "the price which covers") - Revelation 5:9
- Zuben al Genubi (which means "the price which was deficient", in other words, we don't - in our own merits - deserve to receive Eternal Life...) - Romans 6:23. (This star's Hebrew name is chassiyr, which means "wanting" or "deficient") - Daniel 5:27
- Zuben al Akrab (which means "the price of the conflict") - John 3:16-17
The concepts and messages of Mozanaim's three decans also appear in the Bible. Here are the places where the decans names and/or meanings appear in Scripture:
Asedah (now called Lupus, the wolf) - This constellation shows our "wolfish" natures, and how Christ took our sinfulness upon Himself and died in our places:
- 2 Corinthians 5:21 - Christ was made to be sin (sinfulness is represented in the wolf-shape) for us.
- John 10:12, 15-18 - sheep are made righteous (in the Righteousness of Christ), but in Scripture, the wolf represents the spiritually lost. The constellation Asedah shows that Messiah died to redeem us from our lost condition.
- Matthew 10:16 - again, the wolf is shown as symbolizing the wicked - which we all are, prior to Redemption.
- Hebrews 9:11-12, 26-28 - Since it is only through Christ's Blood that we are redeemed, we see that Asedah - the victim slain - must indeed represent Yahshua. He isn't portrayed as a slain wolf to show the wickedness of Christ. Rather the slain wolf shows that Messiah took our sins (wolfishness) upon Himself, and died in our place.
Adom (now called Crux, the Cross-shaped Tav) - This constellation shows Christ's Death on Calvary.
- John 3:16 - our redemption was purchased with the most valuable Substance in the Universe - Yahshua's Blood.
- Daniel 9:26 - Messiah was "cut off".
- 2 Kings 3:22 - the name of this constellation appears in this verse, translated into English as "red as blood".
- Philippians 2:5-8
Atarah (now called Corona Bornealis, "the crown") - This constellation represents the reward of Eternal Life, promised to all who are redeemed by Yahshua's Blood.
- Psalm 21:3-4 - God blesses His people with "crown" (atarah)...
- James 1:12 - this starry crown represents the Crown of Life
- Revelation 3:11 - to lose one's crown is to lose Eternal Life
- One star in Atarah is named Al Phecca, which was "Nogah" in Hebrew. The Hebrew star-name appears in Proverbs 4:18, where it is translated as "shining". Nogah is also the name of the planet, now called Venus, and also means "bright and morning star" - which is a title for Messiah. Thus we see through the meaning of this star name that the Crown of Life, which rightfully belongs to Yahshua, is provided through Him for each of us.

The gift of eternal life wIll be so motivating for us to throw any crowns (honors) we have received at His feet.
