The Leonid Meteor Storm - Placement in the Heavens

After a brief interruption in yesterday's blog to address the supermoon event, I will now return to the top ten sky events with my special focus on the Leonid Meteor Storm. As I mentioned in my blog on February 17 and 18, 2019) a Leonid Meteor Storm is one of the top ten rarest and most amazing sky events. Understanding the significance of them, as well as when next to expect them, is part of being a  good spiritual "watchmen" (Ezekiel 3:17).

The spiritual significance of the Leonid Meteor Storm is found both in plainly stated Scripture, as well as the placement of this meteor storm in the tapestry of the constellations. Let's begin with the plainly stated spiritual significance of the amazing Leonid Meteor Storm.

In Scripture, a meteor storm is known as "falling stars". In Revelation 6, we find a prophecy of what will happen when the sixth seal is opened in Heaven. One of the effects of opening the sixth seal will be a dramatic meteor storm, much like the storm described from 1833 - only probably of an even greater magnitude:  

Revelation 6:12-13  "And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood; And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind."

Since the Leonid Meteor Storm has been the most spectacular of all - in the past - one may wonder whether an apocalyptic Leonid Meteor Storm which will be taking place at the opening of the sixth seal.

Now let's address the spiritual meaning of this amazing falling star storm, found by its placement in the heavens. The Leonid Meteor Storm takes place in the constellation which is now called Leo (the Lion), which is why it called the LEO-nid Meteor Storm...  But, anciently, this lion constellation went by a different name - its original name - which was Aryeh (meaning "lion" in Hebrew).

As you can see from the picture below (and above), Leonid meteor showers and storms originate from the lion's mouth.

The twelfth primary constellation, concluding God’s amazing Star-story is Aryeh, now called Leo. The lion is a symbol of Messiah, who is called the “Lion of the Tribe of Judah.”

Revelation 5:5 “And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the Book, and to loose the seven seals thereof.”  

In this star-picture we find the grand finale—the final acts—which forever put an end to sin and restore the earth and universe to its former sinless beauty. As the prophet Nahum foretold, “affliction”, which is the result of sin and death, will “not rise up the second time” (Nahum 1:9).

In this star-picture, the Heavenly Lion is 
preparing to leap upon the neck of the terrible crooked serpent. According to Aryeh, God’s Judgment upon the devil and his minions is swift and final. Satan well knows the Scripture and star-story, which is why the Bible tells us that he knows he only has a “short time” in which to work his evil (Revelation 12:12). The Heavenly Lion destroys him in the End (Revelation 20:10-15; Hebrews 2:14).

What is the Heavenly Message which is being proclaimed each year in the Leonid meteor shower-or on rare occasions- through the Leonid Meteor Storm? It is the warning that the End of all things is soon coming. The devil's time is running out. And all of our dalliances with him need to cease. And how certain is this future Judgment? In Scripture, whenever the Message was sure - meaning that it would surely come to pass - one powerful way to show it was to conclude with the phrase, "for the Mouth of the LORD (Yahweh) has spoken it."

Frequently, this phrase appears in a Scripture which speaks of the End. For example:

Isaiah 1:20  "But if ye refuse and rebel, ye shall be devoured with the sword: for the Mouth of the LORD hath spoken it."

Isaiah 40:5 "And the glory of the LORD shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together: for the Mouth of the LORD hath spoken it."

Isaiah 58:14  "Then shalt thou delight thyself in the LORD; and I will cause thee to ride upon the high places of the earth, and feed thee with the heritage of Jacob thy father: for the Mouth of the LORD hath spoken it."

In causing the epicenter - the point of origin - of the rare Leonid Meteor Storm to be from the Mouth of the Lion, it is a clear Heavenly Message. Wickedness is coming to an End - for the Mouth of the YAHWEH hath spoken it.

This Message is both wonderful news and a sobering warning - all rolled into one. And each day which passes, inexorably brings us closer to its fulfillment. How stands your soul?
