Why is it Important for Believers to Understand the Mazzaroth today?

The Mazzaroth was the first "Bible" and it is the "Minute Hand" for Discerning Heaven's Time

Today, Christians largely look askance at studying the stars or restoring "Biblical Astronomy". We have been thoroughly warned that astrology is pagan and evil. And we rightly want nothing to do with it. But the zodiac is the paganization of what God had righteously established in the original Mazzaroth.

As I explained in my January 8 blog, titled "When Did God Name the Stars and Shape the Constellations?", the Biblical patriarchs Adam, Seth, and Enoch all knew and taught the Mazzaroth (Job 38:32 - the Mazzaroth is God's Plan of Redemption in the original 48 constellations, which included the 12 primary constellations each with 3 decan constellations). And to reject God's heavenly Mazzaroth by wrongly connecting it with the zodiac brings a number of crippling results to Christians today:

1) In losing the Mazzaroth, we lose the ability to to discern Yahweh's Time.

2) Without an understanding of the Mazzaroth, we lose the message of the Creator's original Plan of Redemption - the first "Bible", was given in the skies. 

3) Without the Mazzaroth, we miss the stellar signposts and warnings of impending prophetic fulfillments. Truly we are "flying blind". (I'll continue showing how the Mazzaroth has prophetic value throughout this year's blog, and so I will leave further explanation of this point for later).

Let's take a look at the first two of these three losses a bit more deeply, in order to gain an understanding of why God's Biblical Patriarchs were all students of the Mazzaroth and why regaining this knowledge is vital for Christians today.

The Heavenly Lights are God's "Clock"

The heavenly lights (Mazzaroth, sun and moon) are the "minute hand" on the Creator's prophetic "Clock", determining the length of a day, year, and the annual timing of the God's holy seasons ("seasons" is translated as "feasts" - in Leviticus 23). Not only do the heavenly lights determine the length of a day and year and the timing of the holy seasons, they are also established as prophetic signs, which signify the fulfillment of Bible prophecy. Thus, our loss of understanding on the Mazzaroth has caused us to lose touch with God's Time.

Genesis 1:14 - "And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years."

Psalm 104:19 - "He appointed the moon for seasons..." 

But in our current mindset, believers find themselves almost completely clueless about God's Time. We hide behind a faulty understanding of Scripture claiming that the timing of Heavenly Events -like the Saviour's first and second advent are unknowable. 

Some even go so far as to believe that we shouldn't know God's timing. We are taught that even the timing of the most significant, future, prophetic event of all - His Second Coming - will be a shock to us, coming upon us like a sneaking "thief in the night".

It is true that the Bible teaches that the Second Coming will sneak up on people like a thief in the night. But what is missed, is that only those who do not discern Yahweh's "Seasons" and thus walk in spiritual "darkness" will find the timing of His Return to be a shock. Conversely, the Children of the Light are to know His Times and Seasons...  And to them, the King's Return will not be like a thief in the night!

1 Thessalonians 5:1-6 "But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you. For yourselves know perfectly that the Day of Yahweh so cometh as a thief in the night... But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief. Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness. Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober." 

It was never God's intent that His people should be out of touch with His Time-Clock! In fact, understanding His heavenly Messages and reading the face of His great Heavenly "Clock" in the Mazzaroth is something all of the Biblical patriarchs could do with considerable skill.

The Mazzaroth was the First "Bible" - containing Heaven's original Messages to Mankind

The Book of Job, which many believe is the oldest Book in the Bible having been written about 3500 years ago, contains numerous star and constellation references. For example, Job mentions Pleiades, Orion, Arcturas, Orion's belt, the Crooked Serpent, and even the Mazzaroth itself (Job 38:31-33; Job 9:9; Job 26:13).

The Psalmist mentioned many stars and the fact the constellations and stars were "speaking", declaring the glory of God (Psalm 19:1-4).

Now if Job was written about 3500 years ago, and the Books of Moses (Genesis - Deuteronomy) were written after that, where was the revelation of God before that? Was mankind left clueless regarding the Plan of Redemption? Was God silent leaving mankind without Truth or Hope? Of course not! The first "Bible" - the Revelation of the Plan of Redemption and Heaven's Message of Hope - was first given in the sky. 

E.W. Bullinger, in his book The Witness of the Stars, put it this way (parentheses are added by me):

For more than two thousand five hundred years the world was without a written revelation from God. The question is, Did God leave Himself without a witness (for all that time)? The question is answered very positively by the written Word that He did not. 

In Romans 1:18-20 it is declared that, "that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath showed it unto them. For the invisible things of Him from the Creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal Power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse."

But how was God known? How were His "invisible things" i.e., His Plans, His Purposes, and His Counsels, known since the Creation of the world? ...The answer follows - "Their sound went into all the earth and their words - their teaching, message, instruction - unto the ends of the world" (Romans 10:16-18).

What words? What instruction? Whose Message? Whose teaching? There is only one answer, and that is, THE HEAVENS! This is settled by the fact that the Passage (in Romans 10) is quot(ing) from Psalm 19, the first part of which is occupied with the Revelation of God written in the Heavens, and the latter part with the Revelation of God written in the Word. 

This is the simplest explanation of this beautiful Psalm. This is why its two subjects are brought together. It has often perplexed many why there should be that abrupt departure (from the subject) in verse 7 - "The Law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul." The fact is, there is nothing abrupt in it, and it is no departure.

It is simply the transition to the second of the two great Revelations, which are thus placed in juxtaposition. The first is the Revelation of the Creator, El... in His WORKS, while the second is the Revelation of the Covenant Jehovah... in His Word. (The Witness of the Stars, pp 1-2) 

The heavens and the written Word are Yahweh's two great witnesses! And when they are joined together (meaning when believers study and incorporate the Heavenly Father's Message in both the Word and the heavens), one's ability to discern the Creator's Meaning and Message is heightened and exponentially increased. Both testify of the same, unadulterated Truths. Both the heavens and the Bible are in perfect harmony. The Scriptural Prophecies and the progression of the heavenly bodies, which make up one hand of the Creator's prophetic "Clock" work in tandem to help the people of God discern Heavenly Truth and Time!
