Sky Event #4 - Part 1

Rare Blood Moon - Supermoon

A total lunar eclipse, which the Bible refers to as the moon turning to blood, will take place on January 21, 2019 (UTC). This will be an event both rare and significant - enough so that I will do both today's and tomorrow's blog about it, in order to convey the full scope of the event and its spiritual significance.

The eclipse will be visible in its entirety from North and South America, as well as portions of western Europe and northwest Africa. From locations in North America, the eclipse will begin during the evening hours of January 20. Observers at locations in Europe and much of Africa will be able to view part of the eclipse before the Moon sets in the early morning (pre-dawn) hours of January 21.

The table below (which is from https://www.skyandtelescope.com/observing/solar-and-lunar-eclipses-in-2019/shows you what to look for and when (UT times are all for January 21st; local times are on the 20th if "p.m." and the 21st if "a.m."):

Weather permitting, everyone in the U.S. will be able to enjoy this celestial event. Eclipse watchers in the Hawaiian Islands will see the Moon climb out of the Pacific Ocean at sunset on the 20th, with roughly half of it already immersed in shadow. Totality occurs in the hours before bedtime for those on the West Coast, but it happens later for those farther east and after midnight (early on January 21st) for the Eastern Seaboard. Meanwhile, it’s a predawn event on the 21st as seen from westernmost Europe and Africa. More information about this eclipse.
This lunar eclipse will be an especially spectacular event because it the moon will also be a supermoon.  The name supermoon was coined by Richard Nolle in 1979, who defined it as:
"...(A) full moon which occurs with the Moon at or near (within 90% of) its closest approach to Earth in a given orbit (perigee). In short, Earth, Moon and Sun are all in a line, with Moon in its nearest approach to Earth."
Supermoons are about 14% larger and 30% brighter than a normal full moon. The following image is a NASA diagram showing the visual difference between a supermoon and a normal moon.

Here is a fun explanation of the moon's orbit for those who are curious - like me :-) You an can watch the video clip in the small window, inserted in this blog, or watch it on youtube at the following link:

Our coming lunar eclipse will be an extra special one because not only will it be a total lunar eclipse (full blood moon), but also it will be a visually larger and brighter moon (supermoon) making it an extra great sky-show.

The combination of these two events (a supermoon with a total lunar eclipse) does not happen very often. In fact, since 1900 a supermoon lunar eclipse has only happened 5 times! The last time this occurred was 1982, and if you miss the event this year, your next opportunity won’t come until 2033. Thus, this coming blood moon is also a rare sky-event, making it extra special.

For the observing believer, the obvious spiritual significance of this super blood moon is clear. It is a sign warning of the beginning of the End Times.
Joel 2:28-32  "And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out My Spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions. And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out My Spirit. And I will shew wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke. The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and the terrible Day of Yahweh come. And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the Name of Yahweh shall be delivered: for in Mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance, as Yahweh hath said, and in the remnant whom Yahweh shall call."
Acts 2:19-21  "And I will shew wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke. The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before that great and notable day of Yahweh come. And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the Name of Yahweh shall be saved."
Additionally, a dramatic blood moon and solar eclipse (along with a meteor shower - Biblically called "falling stars") is foretold to coincide with the opening of the 6th Seal in Revelation:
Revelation 6:12-13  "And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood. And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind."
Clearly, the super blood moon coming to our sky on January 20-21 is spiritually significant as a warning of the times. But there is more to the Creator's meaning and message in this sky event. The placement of the supermoon/lunar eclipse event lends meaning to the message.

In tomorrow's blog, I will show the Scriptural meaning of the constellation in which this sky-event will occur. In so, doing, we will be able to deepen our understanding of God's sky-speech in this upcoming, spectacular event.

For now, just know that I purposely put this sky-event into a two-part blog, starting today, the 19th of January. This early announcement was because you - like me - may want to plan a family sky-watch event. You may even want to get your friends together to watch it with you. And while you watch the spectacular sky event, it is my prayer that you will do so with spiritual insight and understanding into Yahweh's Prophetic Message.

You won't get to see another super blood moon event like it...  So, whatever you do, don't miss it! And the prophetic significance of this event is even more spectacular...  So, whatever you do, don't miss that either!

Also, today I am broadcasting online on the Mazzaroth and on this blood moon event. To watch this presentation (which airs live at 2 PM PST), go to https://livestream.com/lightedway/events/8530567
