Secrets of the Pyramids

The Throne of God

We have already seen the connection between the constellation of Orion and the pyramids of ancient Egypt. But now let's look more closely at the significance of this shape to discover why the ancient Egyptians laid out their pyramids - to scale - in such a way as to create the constellation Orion with one pyramid representing each star. The three pyramids of Giza form Orion's belt.

In Isaiah 6:1 we find that the Throne of Yahweh is "high and lifted up". Additionally, in Revelation 21:16, we learn that it is "four square" with each side being 12,000 furlongs and its height also being 12,000 furlongs.

Let's consider this information as we discuss the shape of New Jerusalem and the Father's Throne. Do you think it was a giant CUBE as mentioned by John, being 12000 furlongs, by 12000 furlongs with a height of 12000 furlongs? Certainly, a cube shape has the same measurement on all its sides and height.

A furlong is 660 feet, and 12000 furlongs is
1500 miles, so that's quite a bit higher than Mt Everest, which is only about 6 miles above sea level. So did John see the base measurements of a cube and the area it occupies in three-dimensional space? Just for fun, this  image shows the scale of the New Jerusalem, if it were placed on earth today - and if it were a cube. 

But is it a cube? There is another possibility. Another geometric shape has a base that is foursquare with a height equal to the length of its base sides - a pyramid. And I believe the reason Joseph (Imhotep) built the first pyramid in Egypt - as mentioned in yesterday's blog - was that it was a shape which honored the one true God. Could it be that the Throne of Yahweh and the New Jerusalem are pyramidal in shape? If so, the pyramid of 12,000 furlongs each side and 12,000 furlongs in height would be about the size shown in this image, if placed on earth:

But to be certain whether the Throne and Heavenly City is a pyramid or a cube, we really need to look a bit further in the Scriptures.

In Ezekiel 28, we find the devil being called the "king of Tyrus". We can be certain that this king of Tyrus is Satan because the Bible says he was in the Garden of Eden and was a covering cherub before iniquity was found in him. But not only does Ezekiel 28 give details about Lucifer before his fall, it also gives an important clue about the shape of Yahweh's Throne:

Ezekiel 28:12-15  "Son of man, take up a lamentation upon the king of Tyrus, and say unto him, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Thou sealest up the sum, full of wisdom, and perfect in beauty. Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created. Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire. Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee."

The Throne is described as "the holy Mountain of God". And a pyramid is a mountain shape. Additionally, it says that Lucifer "walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire." "Stones of fire" is fire in the midst or pyramid!

Additionally, Egypt's pyramids were associated with the sphinx. And a sphinx had the face of a man, the body of a bull, the feet of a lion, and eagle's wings were carved into its sides. Why these four creatures? Because there are four "living creatures" called seraphim who are a high order of angels that surround God's Throne in Heaven (Ezekiel 1:5-10; Revelation 4:6-8). And the Bible tells us that the seraphim have the faces of a man, eagle, bull, and lion, showing the characteristics of Messiah, as I will explain in tomorrow's blog. 

In fact, as I will explain in a later blog, these four living creatures, which portray aspects or Roles of Messiah, represent the four quadrants of the heavens! But for now, let's just make a note of this. Joseph understood that the Throne of Yahweh was a pyramid. It was to honor Yahweh that Joseph designed and built the first pyramid in Egypt. 

Additionally, Creation scientists have found that the mathematical center of our universe is through Orion's belt...  Notably, the ancient's believed that the constellation of Orion was the "gateway" to the Throne of God! 

Placing the pyramids in such a way as to create a scale model of the constellation Orion was a way to show honor to God and His Throne. This was something Joseph planned and designed, as the chief architect of Egypt, whose architectural influence (and in other areas as well) continued over 1000 years after his death. 

No wonder both Isaiah and Jeremiah state that the "wonder" and "monument" to Yahweh is standing in Egypt as a testimony to Him - to this day:

Jeremiah 32:18-20 "Thou shewest loving kindness unto thousands, and recompensest the iniquity of the fathers into the bosom of their children after them: the Great, the Mighty God, the Lord of hosts, is His Name,Great in counsel, and mighty in work: for Thine Eyes are open upon all the ways of the sons of men: to give every one according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings: Which hast set signs and wonders in the land of Egypt, even unto this day, and in Israel, and among other men; and hast made Thee a Name, as at this day."

Isaiah 19:19-20 "In that day shall there be an altar to the Lord in the midst of the land of Egypt, and a pillar (which means a "monument") at the border thereof to the Lord. And it shall be for a sign and for a witness unto the Lord of hosts in the land of Egypt: for they shall cry unto the Lord because of the oppressors, and He shall send them a saviour, and a great one, and He shall deliver them."

The Great Pyramid was placed in the exact center of all the land area of the world. Lines drawn through the north-south and east-west axis of the Pyramid equally divide the earth.

The fact that the architect of the Great Pyramid knew where to find the poles of the earth is evidenced by the high degree of accuracy in orienting the structure true north. Modern man’s best effort, the Paris Observatory, is six minutes of a degree off true north. The Great Pyramid is only off three minutes and that after 4200 years, due mainly to subsidence.

The Great Pyramid is really quite a monument. Not only is it standing in the center of the world, it is also the largest building covering slightly over 13 acres and containing nearly 90,000,000 cubic feet of masonry (which is enough to build 30 Empire State Buildings).

In its original state, shining in the sun, and reflecting its rays, the Great Pyramid was supposed to be visible from the moon as a brilliant star on earth. This phenomenon was caused by the smooth, highly polished limestone blocks which originally covered the Pyramid. Each side, having an area of five and one quarter acres, the polished stones would have acted like gigantic mirrors, reflecting great beams of light that could be seen for many miles around.

The message and placement of the pyramid was to indicate that the Throne of Yahweh should be central on earth, just as it is in Heaven. How sad that the Egyptians lost the light they had been given under the teachings and leadership of Joseph. This shape was later "claimed" by the pagans...  

But they cannot have the pyramid, nor the stars either. For both the stars and the pyramid were Yahweh's first. And it is a great joy to restore His glory in these things! Now - once again they can glorify Him greatly, just as was originally intended.
