Planetary Alignment
Among the top ten rarest sky events is a planetary alignment, which is the visual alignment of the planets in our solar system. How rare is a planetary alignment event? The eight planets, plus Pluto, are somewhat aligned every 500 years. And every one in three such alignments (about every 1500 years) the planets are aligned within 30 degrees.
The last time all eight currently recognized planets of our solar system came into alignment was over 1000 years ago, in the year 949 AD. This level of alignment will not happen again until May 6, 2492.
For thousands of years, though, planets were thought to be stars. "Planets" got their name when observers began to notice that certain "stars" had apparent motion through the constellations of fixed stars. The name "planets" means "wandering stars."
As I explained in my January 7, 2019 blog, in Bible times, the patriarchs only recognized 7 heavenly bodies in our solar system. Therefore, in order for an alignment to carry spiritual significance, it is not necessary to involve all eight currently recognized planets. The original seven heavenly bodies, represented in the seven branches of the menorah, were:
The Sun - Chammah (in Hebrew) meaning "the hot one"
The Moon - Lavanah (in Hebrew) meaning "clothed in white"
Venus - Nogah (in Hebrew) meaning "the bright morning star"
Mercury - Kokah (in Hebrew) meaning "star"
Mars - Ma'adim (in Hebrew) meaning "bloody"
Jupiter - Tsedek (in Hebrew) meaning "He who judges in righteousness"
Saturn - Sabbatai (in Hebrew) meaning "the Sabbath Day planet"
Uranus, Neptune, and the former planet Pluto were not to be found in the ancient planispheres or records. Since only seven heavenly bodies were originally recognized, alignments involving these seven carry the greatest Biblical significance.
All seven of these original heavenly bodies aligned on May 5, of 2000. This alignment has rightly been called the "Grand Alignment" and was aligned as is shown in the image below:
Since this Grand Alignment in 2000, there has been an apparent increase in planetary alignment events, which is significant to any student of Bible prophecy.
In 2016, there were a couple of alignments. The following Youtube video shows why planetary alignments are fairly rare, as the orbits of the planets are not in sync: https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=32&v=fWUbmdaDf-k
In October of 2018 (which is part of our current Biblical year, 2018-2019), we saw a significant alignment of the Biblical seven. At about sunset on October 17, 2018, the following alignment occurred in the Aqrab star-family.
On January 1, 2019, the Gregorian new year began with an alignment of three planets and the moon, as shown in the image below:
But the next major alignment of all seven of these originally recognized members of the solar system will be in July of 2020, which will involve Mercury, Venus, the Moon, Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn. (For telescope viewers, the dwarf planet Pluto will also be in the alignment.)

Strong gravitational force field build-up until July 4, 2020.
ReplyDeleteAll planets (and for sure the sun and the moon included) exercise a pull on planet earth, and the tides, and on all life forms including the human.
It is significant that astrologers are calling for an ushering in of a 'New Age''.
In Landmark Education at the WTC we looked forward to the new dawning.
We projected who we would be in 2020. It is a massive deception that we may control our own destiny. None of my goals have been realized. Rather Yah has led me in a totally different and ultimately more important direction.
Pay attention to Lighted Way Ministries for Yah's clear directions for the times which are rapidly befalling us all!
I might add it is essential that we be preparing ourselves, with Yah's help, on all levels to be able to stand for His righteousness through increasingly troubled times!
