God’s messages in the constellations is not only given by the star-names and constellation shapes, it is also given by their placement in the heavens and how the constellations interrelate with one another. The first two decans of Aqrab appear joined together in the sky. They are Gibbor (the Strong Man wrestling the serpent) and Nachash (the serpent). In the star-story, the serpent is trying to reach its head up to take the Crown of Life (Atarah, one of the decans of Mozanaim), which is just above the serpent’s head.
The serpent (Nachash) represents Satan, who appeared to Eve in the form of a serpent in the Garden of Eden, long ago. In the great tapestry of the sky-picture, the serpent is reaching its head upwards to take the Crown of Life. This sky-picture shows that the devil is actively working to destroy every soul. He strives to take the Crown
(representing Salvation) from every person. The only power which holds him back from this terrible goal is Christ Himself (Who is shown as Gibbor) the Strong Man who battles the serpent for our Salvation.
In this starry battle between the Strong Man (Gibbor) and the serpent (Nachash), we see the Salvational prophecy of Genesis 3:14-15 pictured in the heavens.
Genesis 3:14-15 “And Yahweh God said unto the serpent (Nachash)... I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her Seed; It shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise His Heel.”The woman, of Genesis 3:15, is shown as Bethulah in the sky. Her “Seed” is the
Righteous Branch—Christ Himself. Death’s scorpion is portrayed swinging its stinger
upwards to “bruise” the Strong Man’s heel. This bruising happened at Calvary, when Christ took Death’s “sting” for us. But this starry picture of Genesis 3:15 not only foretells the Death of Christ, it also prophesies the final end of Satan!
