Influence of the Akkadians

Tracing the Roots of Paganizing the Stars

Many have believed that it was the ancient Greeks who changed the constellations and paganized the messages of the stars. But the Greeks actually didn't start this process. The process of paganizing the constellations and many other elements of Truth was formally begun by Nimrod - founder of both the Babylonian and the Akkadian civilizations.

Depending on who you ask, the Akkadian Empire, which was the first ancient empire of Mesopotamia, is generally dated to somewhere between 2300 and 2100 BC.

In Genesis 10, we find that Nimrod's kingdom was in Akkad.
Genesis 10:8-10  "And Cush begat Nimrod: he began to be a mighty one (Gibbor) in the earth. He was a mighty hunter before Yahweh: wherefore it is said, Even as Nimrod the mighty hunter before YahwehAnd the beginning of his kingdom was Babel, and Erech, and Accad (also spelled Akkad), and Calneh, in the land of Shinar."
Noah had three sons, the Bible tells us. They were Shem, Ham and Japheth. Ham was the father of Cush. And Cush was the father of Nimrod. Thus, the wicked Nimrod was actually Noah's great-grandson!

Notice also, in the above Scripture, that the Bible says Nimrod "began to be a mighty one". The words "mighty one" are from the Hebrew word Gibbor, which is the name of the strong Man (Messiah) constellation who battles Nachash (the serpent) in the Aqrab star-family. Nimrod's claim to be Gibbor, was a reference to Nimrod claiming to be a "god". But Nimrod was nothing more than than an anti-Messiah.

Nimrod, known as Sargon I, founded the Akkadian empire from which came ancient Babylon. When the Akkadian civilization faded it was divided into two factions: Babylon and Assyria.

Notably, the Akkadians were very familiar with the constellations and stars. Numerous clay cylinders and stone carvings demonstrate this. Consider the following stone carving, which depicts the sun, the moon and the seven stars, known as the Pleiades.

But very quickly, in Akkadian carvings, the heavenly bodies came to be less and less about the constellations and Yahweh's messages in them and more and more about Nimrod, a pagan anti-Christ figure. Nimrod, as he was called to the Babylonians, was known as Sargon I to the Akkadians. But it is the same pagan person, who ruled the ancient world with a tyrannical hand.

Consider the following Akkadian cylinder seal delineated as va 243:

On the above Akkadian carving, Nimrod, the Akkadian/Babylonian self-proclaimed sun-god king is seated on his throne. His lesser nobles appear before him. In this carving, translators have found that the heavenly representations have nothing to do with constellations and everything to do with Nimrod's false claim to be the sun god.

The sun is shown on the top left of the carving. This sun carving is orbited by 11 "planets". Many conjectures have been made about this. Some have believed that this carving bears evidence that our solar system once had 11 bodies, which included "planet x" or  planet "Niburu". Thus according to the conjecture, the bodies orbiting the sun in  this Akkadian carving include our eight planets, Pluto, the Moon and Niburu.

But this is truly a far-fetched conjecture for many reasons. First, as I have already explained in this blog, the ancient world only recognized seven members of our solar system, which included the sun. Only the visible planets were known and were counted as "wandering stars". So, had this carving been a depiction of the heavenly bodies, the sun carving would have only had six orbiting spheres. Second, the translation of this above shown Akkadian cylinder makes it clear that this carving was about people - likely lesser "lords" - who were paying their respects to the false god-king Nimrod (Sargon).

As researcher, Michael Sheiser, explains in his online article titled: "The Myth of a 12th Planet..." there are three reasons why researchers do not believe the above cylinder is about astronomy, but is rather about a person:
1) The inscription on the seal says nothing about astronomy, Nibiru, or planets.
2) The alleged "sun" symbol on the seal is not the sun (in the sky). We know this for sure because it does not conform to the consistent depiction/symbology of the sun on hundreds of other cylinder seals, monuments, and pieces of Sumero-Mesopotamian art.
3) There is not a single text in any extant Sumero-Mesopotamian text that says the Sumerians or Mesopotamians knew of more than five planets. There are a number of cuneiform tablets that deal with astronomy... (but this is not one).
What does the cylinder say? In three cuneiform lines, it reads:

"Dubsiga, Ili-illat, your/his servant"

Given the message of the carving and the background information regarding the Akkadian's understanding of the heavens, the reference to the "sun" with its 11 "planets" in orbit about it is likely a reference to Nimrod/Sargon, the first sun-god, having 11 nobles (represented as the "planets") or underlords under him. And the Akkadian cylinder seal VA 243 was likely a present from one of those lord/"planets" to the Nimrod "sun" as an assurance of his loyalty. This interpetation aligns with the translated message and the symbology on the piece as well as the Akkadian understanding of the solar system (which included five planets - and a total of seven heavenly bodies, when you counted the sun and moon).

In other words, rather than being proof of a mystic planet (Niburu), or any other genuine astronomical detail, this cylinder carving actually demonstrates something entirely different. It portrays the idol-man who first perverted the heavens and claimed Yahweh's symbol of the sun as his own. It was through this man's work that the worship of Yahweh and the Plan of Redemption, so clearly presented in the heavens came to be eclipsed and misrepresented. It was through Nimrod/Sargon, that a counterfeit symbolism of the heavenly bodies came into being and the Truth was first polluted with paganism.

  1. Key information tracing back to when the true story of redemption, so clearly portrayed in the stars, was first eclipsed by self-serving Nimrod.
