Tanneen (Draco) is the third decan of Qesheth. Satan is both a serpent and a dragon in this constellation. These symbols are also used in Scripture to depict the devil.
Revelation 20:2 - “And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years.”The fact that this constellation is correctly identified as a dragon is not only clear from the constellation name. It is verified in the star-names of the stars found in this constellation as well:
Ethanin - "the long serpent" or "dragon"
El Athik - "the fraudful" (one who is full of deceit) (Revelation 12:9)
Giansar - "the punished enemy" (Exodus 15:6)
Thuban - "the subtle" one (Genesis 3:1)
The constellation Bau (now wrongly called Hercules) is shown in the image above. It is positioned in its place as it appears in the heavens even though it is a decan of Aqrab because this full sky picture shows Bau (which represents Christ) crushing the serpent’s head (which represents the destruction of Satan). This concept is in Genesis 3:15.
As the Bible says, in Genesis 3:15, Christ crushes the head of this great deceiver. God does this Work in each of us, by delivering us from Satan’s power and influence.
This constellation shows total victory over the devil and full deliverance from His
bondage (1 John 3:8), in Christ. In fact, even the Scriptures which include the name of this constellation show this victorious meaning:
Isaiah 27:1 - “...Yahweh... shall punish... that crooked serpent; and He shall slay the dragon (Tanneen) that is in the sea.”Our Saviour’s power and victory over the evil one and the fact that we may each be delivered from the shackles of Hell is the Gospel (Good News) of the Kingdom. Thus, in this star-family, we see a heavenly representation of the Gospel. Qesheth carries the Gospel throughout the earth, destroying the King’s enemies (Psalm 43:3-5) and setting the captives free.
Matthew 24:14 - “And this Gospel of the Kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.”
