Tribe of the Month

Asher is the Tribe Associated with Qesheth (the horse and Rider)

My featured star-family for the month of April is Qesheth (the horse and Rider from Revelation 6), which is Star-family #4 of the 12 primary constellations and their decans. As I mentioned in my January 11, 2019 blog, "What is the Significance of the 12 Primary Constellations?", each of the 12 primary constellations is associated with one of the 12 tribes of Israel.

The tribe which is associated with the constellation Qesheth (now called Sagittarius) is Asher.
We will deepen our understanding of the Heavenly Message in this star-family by looking at the prophecies of Asher, given in the Scripture by both Jacob and Moses.

When Jacob was near the end of his life, he called his sons before him and spoke a prophetic word over them, which is found in Genesis chapter 49. His death-bed prophecies for his sons were not just prophetic words to the 12 tribes while his twelve sons were still alive, the prophecies were to have an ultimate fulfillment in the Last Days. We know this, because Jacob said so himself, in verse 1 of that chapter:
Genesis 49:1  "And Jacob called unto his sons, and said, Gather yourselves together, that I may tell you that which shall befall you in the Last Days."
So, as we find a message for our personal sanctification and spiritual growth in the 12 star-families of the Mazzaroth, that message is deepened by echoing it with the tribal prophecies of Jacob, which are meant for Israel in the Last Days - Scripturally called the "Seed of Abraham" (for Abraham begat Isaac and Isaac begat Jacob and Jacob begat 12 sons who formed the 12 tribes of Israel).

In Jacob's prophecy from Genesis 49, his prophetic word for Asher is found in Genesis 49:20:
Genesis 49:20 "Out of Asher his bread shall be fat, and he shall yield royal dainties."
To understand this prophecy, let's begin by looking at the meaning of Asher's name. "Asher" means "blessed, triumphant, happy", as we find in Strong's Concordance # H836. When Leah gave birth to Asher, she proclaimed a prophetic utterance over him, although this was probably not her intent. It's found in Genesis 30:13. Seeing she had given birth to a son, she proclaimed that she was "happy" and that the daughters (women who knew her) would declare her "blessed". This was why she called the child "Asher" (happy).

This was indeed a prophecy. For the saved people of Yahweh are blessed to be "triumphant", overcoming this world. The triumph of the saints is two-fold, first having gained the victory (through the Power of Messiah) to overcome the tempter, they are then able to triumph in carrying the final Gospel Message to the world. This message is portrayed in the white horse and Rider (Revelation 6) of Asher's constellation.

1 John 5:2-4  "By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep His Commandments. For this is the love of God, that we keep His Commandments: and His Commandments are not grievous. For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith."
Now, let's look at Jacob's prophecy of Asher from Genesis 49. We read it above, but this time, I will add in the meanings of the key words which are found in the Strong's Concordance. These meanings are in parenthesis in the following verse:
Genesis 49:20 "Out of Asher his bread (food, shewbread, meat) shall be fat (rich, plenteous [filled with Oil]), and he shall yield (distribute, offer, give forth) royal (Yahweh is the King, His family is Royal) dainties (delicacies, delights - [spiritual food])."
The prophecy of Jacob over Asher shows that the people of God are distributors of the Heavenly Shewbread. This connects with Qesheth in that the horse and Rider carry the Gospel to the World. Shewbread immediately brings the Sanctuary to mind, for on the Table of Shewbread, which stood in the Holy Place, 12 loaves (1 for each of the 12 tribes of Israel) of unleavened bread were placed.

Certainly, the Shewbread represents Christ, Who is the Living Bread - the Word that became Flesh and dwelt among us:
John 6:51 - "I am the Living Bread which came down from Heaven: if any man eat of this Bread, he shall live for ever: and the Bread that I will give is My Flesh, which I will give for the life of the world."
John 1:14 - "And the Word was made Flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld His Glory, the Glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth."
In Scripture, the Shewbread represented Christ, the Living Word. It also represented the Word of Scripture. And daily partaking of the Word of Scripture is vital to triumphing and partaking of the Gospel Message. The Bible is our daily Bread - the Shewbread of which we must eat in order to sustain spiritual Life.
Matthew 4:4 - "But He answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every Word that proceedeth out of the Mouth of God."
What does this have to do with the message of the the horse and Rider in this constellation? The message of Qesheth is the final Call of Salvation to this dying planet. We are Called unto Salvation, symbolized by the Crown which the Rider carries and offers to the world.
Revelation 6:2 - "And I saw, and behold a white horse: and He that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto Him: and He went forth conquering, and to conquer."
At the End of Time, the prophet Amos foretold just how desperately the world would need Asher and the Message of this star-family. The one's who distribute the living Bread are the bearers of the final Gospel Message portrayed in Qesheth. And in the Last Days, Amos told that a famine would plague the world - not a famine for literal bread, but rather a famine of hearing the Word of Yahweh. The Asher's who are represented in Qesheth bear the Living Word to the starving world.
Amos 8:11 - "Behold, the days come, saith Yahweh GOD, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the Words of Yahweh."

  1. Days of famine for hearing the Words of Yahweh are fast approaching.
Simultaneously, as knowledge is increasing, the white horse Rider's people, Israel, through Yah's grace, are revealing much needed truth for the endtimes.
