The Fifth Star-Family - Part 2

Gedi's Decans - Shemem (Sagitta)

The second decan of Gedi is the arrow of Shemem (Sagitta). In the prior star-family, we saw the mighty Qesheth riding forth with His bow and arrows. His arrows are “sharp in the heart of the King’s enemies” (Psalm 45:5). 

In Shemem, we see a portrayal of one of these sharp arrows, which appears to fly in the sky as if it were just shot from the bow.

Shemem means “desolate”, indicating that this is a very effective destroying arrow. This Hebrew constellation name is found in Scriptures referring to God’s Judgment.

Matthew 23:38 “...Your House is left unto you desolate (Shamem)”

The prophet Daniel foretold that the devil’s kingdom would set up an Abomination of Desolation.

Daniel 12:11 “And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the Abomination that maketh desolate (Shamem) set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days.”  

This abomination is referenced in the constellation called Shemem. Considering that God’s arrows are “sharp in the heart of the King’s enemies”, this arrow foreshadows the ultimate downfall of the Abomination of Desolation. 

As we saw in the star-family of Qesheth, the arrow is shot forth by the heavenly Archer and symbolizes the Gospel of the Kingdom, which is the Message that counters the lies of the devil and ultimately defeats the deceptions of the Abomination of Desolation.
