Did it really happen? Did mankind ride a rocket ship to the moon, land there, and walk on the lunar surface? There are many who believe it was a hoax. I am not one of them... I say that honestly, and respectfully to those who disbelieve.
50 years ago, today, people across the planet watched some of the most amazing television footage. They watched as a powerful Saturn V rocket attempted to launch a team of humans to the Moon.
So many things could go wrong in machinery as complex as Apollo 11, many thought the launch would prove only to be another useful dress rehearsal in a long series of attempts to put humans on the moon. But to everyone's pleasant surprise - the launch was a success!
Aldrin, Armstrong and Collins reached the Moon after a 3+ day trip and man walked upon the Moon, for the first time, 50 years ago this coming Sabbath... Today is the Jubilee Anniversary of this amazing milestone in human history. Enjoy the following video footage of this momentous event. Watch on Youtube.
