Tonight's Sky

What's up and What's Coming...

There are many beautiful sights in the sky throughout this month for star-gazers to enjoy. Gary Beckstrom has done an excellent job of highlighting them and shows diagrams of what to look for and where to look. Since I do not see a way to improve upon his excellent online article, I will simply share it in its entirety, found here.

I do recommend taking the time to practice finding the Summer Triangle (shown above) in the night sky. You can use Gary Beckstrom's information to help you sight it. Finding the Summer Triangle makes it easy to locate Cygnus...  And you will want to be able to sight Cygnus so that you can gear up for next month's "falling star" show!

In August, we can expect the Cygnids Meteor shower to reach its peak. It is named for the constellation Cygnus, out of which it emanates. Thus, to get the full spiritual meaning of this shower, you will want to refer to the spiritual message and meaning of this constellation, which I explained in my June 3, 2019 star blog.
