Today marks the day when the historic Apollo 11 mission was concluded as the intrepid astronauts returned safely to Earth. They landed 50 years ago today (July 24, 1969) in the North Pacific Ocean. For more information about this mission click here.

Who knew the mission was almost aborted?
My Dad likened it to the flight of Charles Lindbergh. when all work stoppped in his office of engineers until Lindbergh arrived safely in Paris.
We have indeed had many courageous pioneers who we should remember.
