Alien Beings on Exoplanets?

Does the Bible Speak About Life on Other Planets?

Scientists today are far more spiritual then they like to let on. But this new scientific spirituality isn't righteous - rather its based upon a rejection of Yahweh and His Word. One way the scientific community is darkly spiritual is their on-going search for alien life.

Scripture tells us that humans were not the only sentient beings which Yahweh created. He also made angels, cherubim and seraphim. These are separate created beings from us. 

Additionally, there is some suggestion in Scripture that there are Yah-created, unfallen, sentient beings on other worlds (untouched by sin) throughout Yahweh's vast universe. Like the unfallen angels, these beautiful beings live in perfect harmony and obedience to Yahweh. Because they belong to God and were created by Him, they are known as "sons of God".

Humans also can be known as "sons of God" in Scripture (1 John 3:2), if we choose to be part of His Kingdom and Family. But there are a few references in Scripture where the term "sons of God" could only apply to non-human beings. 

In the first reference, God is speaking to Job. He points out that Job, a human, was not present at the Creation of our world. But that, at the Creation of our world, "the morning stars" also known as the "sons of God" shouted for joy:

Job 38:4-7  "Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? Declare, if thou hast understanding. Who hath laid the measures thereof, if thou knowest? Or who hath stretched the line upon it? Whereupon are the foundations thereof fastened? Or who laid the corner stone thereof; When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy?" 

Additionally, Scripture shows that these unfallen, created beings who are known as the "sons of God" do not live on Earth - nor do they live in Heaven. We can know this because the Bible speaks of some of them "appearing" before Yahweh's Throne on multiple occasions. 

Job 1:6  "Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before Yahweh, and Satan came also among them."

Job 2:1-2  "Again there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before Yahweh, and Satan came also among them to present himself before Yahweh. And Yahweh said unto Satan, From whence comest thou? And Satan answered Yahweh, and said, From going to and fro in the Earth, and from walking up and down in it." 

It appears that these presentations before Yahweh are being done by the unfallen leaders from other worlds throughout the universe. How can we know that they are "unfallen" beings? Because the term "sons of God" - whether referring to off-world beings or humans - is used only for the created beings who are loyal and obedient to Yahweh. 

Notice, in the above texts, that in addition to these loyal beings Satan also appears (for he gained "dominion" or "leadership" over planet Earth when Adam - the original leader - succumbed to his temptations). Satan appeared also in these "presentations" as the leading representative for planet Earth (during his temporary dominion over Earth - which will be taken from him forever, by our Saviour - Numbers 24:17-19). He had already been cast out of Heaven (Revelation 12:7). Yet, through usurping Adam's dominion, the devil had found a way to make appearances There.

But while the Bible indicates that Yahweh has made other sentient beings, in addition to humans, throughout His vast universe, the Hollywood ideas of E.T. and aliens are truly nonsense and all part of demonic deception. 

But the reality (as stated in Scripture) that there are "sons of God" that exist in His vast universe is pretty wonderful, I think. And perhaps most wonderful of all is the Scriptural invitation to fallen mankind to be among them:

1 John 3:1-2  "Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew Him not. Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when He shall appear, we shall be like Him; for we shall see Him as He is."
