M5 With Binoculars!

Tonight's Sky

In March, I focused on the third star-family, which is Aqrab (the scorpion) and its decans. This is the constellation family which speaks of Spiritual Warfare. Two of the decans of Aqrab appear joined together in the sky. They are the Strong Man (Who is Messiah) and the serpent (who represents Satan). For more information about these constellations, visit my blog from March 2, 2019. Remembering the meaning of this constellations will enrich your star viewing of tonight's sky.

This week will be a good opportunity for you to track the northern sky's brightest globular cluster, M5, shown below:

This globular cluster contains about 100,000 stars, which glow at a combined magnitude of 5.7 - making it visible with only binoculars in this week's night sky. M5 is located in the Aqrab star family - specifically it will be found just 0.4 degrees north-northwest of the serpent's star which was anciently known as Unik (see the drawing from my book God's Amazing Star Secret, below).

As you sight M5 (see the star chart above) in binoculars, you will see a hazy ball of light with a bright core. So happy star viewing! And as you sight this beautiful M5, be reminded that the Calling of Yahweh upon your life and for your future is bigger than this planet.
